Ate dinner here; great atmosphere, live entertainment, on the beach and you can sit in or outside. However, the food is average and expensive. There are too many choices in Waikiki to waste your time and money on a meal here.

This has been our favorite place to take our visitors. The setting in incomparable with a view of Diamond Head, sunset, kiawe tree and of course, the musicians and hula dancer. The hotel has quietly instituted a cover charge to everyone unless you have dinner there. Unfortunately, the food menu has shrunk, through the must-eat standards of coconut shrimp and... More

This turned out to be one of the best starts of vacation ever.....the steamed Onaga was one of the best meals we've ever had.....an absolutely perfect combination of shiitake mushrooms, steamed to transparency baby bok choy, and an incredible sesame ginger soy sauce.....wow wow wow! We chose HWAK because they don't take reservations and we couldn't predict our flight arrival,... More

Arrived at HWAK at the Halekulani Hotel at 4:50 for 5:00, no reservation seating. Seated at a table with a beautiful view of the ocean, the sunset and the Hawaiian band. Our waiter, Ian, was amazing, a dry humor and was very enjoyable. Mai tai's were the best ever! Dinner was excellent and the dessert, Coconut Cake, Vanilla Creme Angalaise... More

The view here is unbelievable-it feels very private for Waikiki-the view of Diamond Head is great. Live music, but soft, not obnoxious. The food was excellent and they were very accomodating with my gluten allergy. We will go back again!

The House Without a Key is the outdoor bar everyone dreams of on a Hawaiin holiday. The bar area faces the ocean , palm trees framing the sunset, as you sip your drink to the soothing strains of Hawaiian music played by the live group. The hula performance is tasteful and elegant, appropriately for this lovely spot. For a late... More

This place came highly recommended by a colleague so we decided to make a point of stopping there with the time we had in between our hotel checkout time and flight home. We intended to just have a drink, but with some interesting things on the menu we ordered a few things to eat as well. The Beef and Barley... More

Whether it be for breakfast or lunch, dinner or evenimng cocktails this informal patio dining is just the ticket with a sunset over the Pacific that cannot be beat. An excellent menu and the best service in town.

Came here to watch the sunset and enjoy some cocktails whilst a Hawaiian band played. There was also a dancer that came out at intervals and the feeling was really nice here. Wait staff was also the friendliest we had experienced during our stay. This is a nice place to come and relax and enjoy some music

Went for dinner and the food was great! Got there around 6:30. Had sashimi and coconut shrimp. Sashimi melted in your mouth. However, as we started on the salad, it was pretty dark and the little light that they had on the table provided very little light. Part of enjoying your food is the visual aspect and when it's pretty... More
