We moved to the island 5 months ago. In our home town there are at least 25 Mexican restaurants and we loved and frequented many of them. I guess our standards are high. We ate at Jose's for the first time and were disappointed. The food was just OK. The portion sizes were OK. The prices were just way to... More

I live over in Kauai and been craving Mexican. Very good food. Wish it was decorated a little more like Mexico for the atmosphere but I can't complain. Food was amazing. I ordered a taco salad and it was huge and filling. My server was very sweet and on top of it. People tell me to stay away from this... More

OMG! This place is not much to look at but the food is outstanding. Before you think what can some white chick from NJ know about good Mexican, my husband is a Marine Vet & many of his brothers in arms are Hispanic. I have had Mexican food cooked for me by people's grandmothers who don't speak English. This blew... More

A good choice for Mexican American food in Honolulu. Our food was all made with fresh ingredients and portions are large. We had the Big Kahuna and Macho Nachos, both were very good. Our server was very good and pleasant...he was attentive and kept up on our drink refills. Prices are reasonable too!

When I have a craving for Mexican food I come to this restaurant. The food is great, I have had a few different dishes each time I come here and have not been disappointed. The last time I came here I got the crab enchiladas, and it came with rice and beans on the side. Whoo, that was good, it... More

My friends and I like to go for lunch they have the best salads, Chili, and other mexican specialties. Prices are lower for lunch and slightly higher for dinner. Worth the time to get there.

Went for dinner for the first time at Jose's, it was rather empty, but it was Christmas eve. The portions are very good for the hungry, the taste was very good. We were very lucky to find parking right in front of the restaurant, but there is municipal parking right in the back. We had the taco salad and it... More

My wife and I stopped here on a week night on the way home from work, sort of on the spur of the moment decision. We were hungry for Mexican Food and decided to stop off in Kaimuki where there are two Mexican Restaurants within a half block of each other and a lot of parking. We decided on Jose's... More

We were hungry for Mexican food and decided to give Joses another try. Beer was cold and Margarita was great. Sorry, but the food just wasn't up to par. Chips were soggy, burrito was pretty tasteless. We've given Joses several chances, and now have to start looking for a new spot.
