I hosted an 85th birthday brunch at Hoku's for my parents based on recommendations from friends. It was a perfect choice! It was difficult to secure reservations for a large party, so I would recommend booking well in advance. We were seated in the corner...More

Aloha. Many thanks for the very detailed review. Yes, we are popular and reservations are recommended for both brunch and dinner at Hoku's. Once you are seated, we work to pace service and experience in the way each guest prefers.

Very high quality meal with a wonderful wine list and excellent service. Expect to pay the same price you would pay at a top restaurant in NYC or San Francisco.

From the moment we arrived at the Kahala Resort we felt special. The valet parking attendants and hotel staff were very helpful and friendly. Hoku's wait staff was the best! Our waitresses, yes two of them, were on the ball all night. So friendly and...More

I made my first visit to Hoku's at The Kahala last week and will definitely go back. My gf has been many times and has always enjoyed it. We weren't starving, so treated ourselves to just sharing some appetizers, my favorite way to eat. We...More

Ate here our first night on the island. Frank our waiter was really friendly and made us feel right at home. Everything he suggested was superb. The views from the table were great. It was quite loud in the restaurant and made talking difficult. I...More

The Sunday brunch at Hoku's is fantastic. We have been to Hoku's for dinner many times, usually a tradition every time we visit and stay at the Kahala. However we have been told by the locals (friends who live in Honolulu) that the Sunday brunch...More

Hi. Glad you enjoyed your visit to Hoku's. Just to clarify, the dress code is slightly more casual for brunch. Hoku's brunch attire is "casual resort" wear, shoes or dressy sandals are allowed. Swim wear, tank-top style t-shirts and athletic wear are not allowed. For...More

With million dollar beach views, high-quality food and outstanding service coming to Hoku's is always a very pleasurable experience. The buffet has a wide selection of seafood (crab legs, lobster, oysters, etc.), sushi, carving station items, breakfast selections, and desserts. The complimentary champagne and fruit/vegetable...More

Dined there tonight for our 2nd anniversary. Service was top notch. Friendly as one would expect from a highly rated restaurant- but it went beyond that level as we shared stories about our families and lives. Plus they were attentive without being overbearing. View of...More

Hoku's, I believe is the 2nd best brunch restaurant on the island. I feel Halekulani surpasses Hoku's with a wider selection of food/desserts and unrivaled service. The service is very good at Hoku's however it is a step ahead at Halekulani's. Example, At Halekulani's when...More

Hoku's at The Kahala Hotel & Resort is heralded for its innovative fusion fare which melds Hawaiian, Asian, Mediterranean and European flavors. The restaurant's twist on contemporary Island cuisine ensures that it is consistently ranked as one of Hawaii's best restaurants. Hoku's has a breathtaking beach-side setting with panoramic views of the Pacific Ocean from every table in the multi-level dining room. Also competing for guest's attention is the open kitchen featuring fiery hot woks, a kiawe wood grill, and tandoori and wood-burning ovens.
