Had to grab a bite to eat before the cruise on the Miss Buffalo II. Walked down to the hatch. The menu is a bit confusing because it's on a huge chalk board, but the clerk at the register was there to answer any questions and make suggestions. Ordered the bologna and onion sandwich with an order of fries. The... More

We stopped for cocktails after a boat ride. The bar area was packed due to the lovely day. Drinks were reasonably priced and you couldn't get a better view of the water.

Limit those expectations. It's a hot dog joint. A lot has been happening on the Buffalo waterfront. Head to The Hatch for a true Buffalo hot dog. Grilled to perfection whether you like it warmed, medium, or nice and char-broiled. Let them know how you want that dog cooked! Far as I know, they still grill up Sahlen's hot dogs;... More

This place is TERRIBLE. Had a turkey wrap that was ice cold and tasteless. Also had soemthing that was supposed to be french fries that were stale. Actually the bottled water didn't taste bad. A shame this place takes up valuable waterfront property.

Stopped at the Hatch after an excellent morning Buffalo River History tour and lunch was a mistake. Don't let the cool looking menu board fool you - the food is moderately expensive and inexplicably bad. The "Tornado Fries" turned out to be potato chips with white powder for the salt and vinegar flavor. The "Turkey Club" was a cold tortilla... More

Great for a quick bite to eat while you're at the waterfront - they have burgers and ice cream. A little overpriced but there are no other options unless you pack a picnic so it is convenient.

Located at the intersection of Lake Erie and the Niagra River not far from the rejuvenated terminus of the Erie canal (1825), you can sit indoors or outside or even at an outdoor bar. American style foods. Taste all the better in the seasonal fresh air.

Finding ourselves having to be in Buffalo late on a Friday we decided to go someplace for a late dinner. After reading various reviews we figured we couldn't go wrong with Hatch's. We arrived a few minutes early and where offered to sit or go to the bar. We thought we would try the bar, but it was over crowded... More
