A good place to stop for a meal on the way to Canada. We had to have buffalo chicken wings in Buffalo ! This place has a great atmosphere, and is well decorated with all sorts of paraphernalia.

This is an iconic place on the city's former funkiest road (still pretty funky, but other areas are now coming into prominence) The decor is a wild, eclectic mix of antiques...so, pretty interesting, if on the cramped side. Unfortunately, the tables and chairs are pretty antique and could use a refinishing and upgrade for comfort. We arrived around 4pm on... More

Always one of my favorite places in Buffalo. The burgers are pretty good, but the real reason people come here is the wings (and the atmosphere). The wings are huge and juicy. It has the feel of an old hunting lodge. And you can sit near the fire places to warm up. Great location on Allen St where there's always... More

A friend and I went for lunch while in town for a hockey game last weekend. The atmosphere was pretty cool - hardwood floors, high pressed tin ceilings and many taxadermied animals adorning the walls. We ordered wings (hot) and they were pretty good. We also, however, ordered salads. Picture a browning head of iceberg lettuce town into hand sized... More

We dined here with another couple on a Saturday evening before a Kleinhans performance. We arrived at 5 pm and were promptly seated. Fifteen minutes later there was a waiting line. They have a large bar and the eclectic interior is interesting. Service and food were very good. Try not to sit close to the front door during the winter.

Went to the Anchor Bar the night before, blahhhhh. This place has awesome wings and I was able to watch the Kentucky game on their brand-new big TV. Great service, nice clientele, highly recommend.

I took one star off because they need more servers. Otherwise, a great experience. It is perfect for private, romantic dining; it is quiet and private...great for romantic evenings. The church like furniture and old wood give it an elegant feel, all the better to enjoy your meal, whether this is fine dining or traditional American fare. Staff are not... More

We had reservations for 10 at 730. We were told that we were in the back party room. Arrived to a table rigjt next to the waitress area and kitchen. We left at 915. Waitress did her best bit overall service was horrible. We didn't get food until 850 and it was burgers and wings. Don't know who was running... More
