We visited Medora on Dec and this was pretty much the only place open. We were pleasantly surprised. The atmosphere was nice. The waiter was very friendly and helpful. The food was great. I had their chicken sandwich with fries and everything tasted good and fresh. I would definitely come here again.

Stopped by for a quick lunch. Had a beer and taco salad. They serve tap beer from a brewery just across the Montana border. It was a very good pale ale! The taco salad was also delicious, all the fixin's of a great taco salad. Wish we could have stayed longer, but the short time there was well worth the... More

We had never tried pizza and had heard good things so we gave it a try. It was excellent! We had 1/2 supreme and 1/2 Reuben. The Reuben was very good but got a little sweet with the drizzling of honey mustard. I would definitely get it again. The supreme was also very good and the crust was not too... More

Seemed like the only restaurant open on Friday night in October. Luckily, the front desk guy from our hotel recommended it. We had good meals (steak & chicken sandwich) and especially loved the onion rings! Service was great!

Great atmosphere and the food was very good. We loved the tables made out of Jack Daniels barrels too. I had a delicious rib eye that had great flavor and a wing appetizer and my wife had a BLT and side salad that she said was very good. The waitress/bartender was super friendly and helpful.

Not much to choose from in this little town in the middle of nowhere. Just an average joint to grab some hot food.

I've eaten here many times. The staff are great & if you are only interested in having a few drinks, it is a great place. The food however has gone from good, to OK-ish to really, really horrible. Steak fingers were fried to the point that they looked like hockey pucks. We ordered a pizza the other night - I... More

We ate dinner here on a Wednesday night when other places were closed for the season. We both had their Cap Sirloin steak. We thought the steak and sides were good and reasonably priced ($19). They have several beers on tap from Beaver Creek Brewing. It is more of a bar atmosphere than a restaurant. The staff was very friendly.... More

We were sent upstairs to the dining room to eat, after the bar started getting rowdy. A little disconcerting, but after that dinner was fine.

The Boots Bar & Grill was formerly the Iron Horse Saloon. New owners have taken over and were not allowed the former name, which I feel is actually to their advantage. We have eaten there three different times while passing through North Dakota and would like to leave a review under the new name of "Boots Bar & Grill". It looks like they have expanded. It is a western themed saloon with a large screened in porch as you first walk in, saloon has several large tables made from huge tree slabs, there is a spiral stairway that leads to a large loft for serving 30-45 with an open terrace on top that also has several tables outside.
