We had not been to the Blue Cactus Cantina in about 10 months, and we decided to go on a Saturday evening. We arrived about 6.15p.m. and found the place half empty, which was an amazement in itself. Blue Cactus has been a fave for...More

No food for one hour and ten minutes—no apologies; no offer of an appetizer; no explanation; just no food. NEVER had worse service anywhere! Only stayed because we had another couple to visit with.

I went to the Blue Cactus for a quick dinner. It was my first visit. I just came into town from Atlanta and wanted a comfortable yet unique food experience. This place combines Mexican and cajun foods along with a few American items with a...More

We had been there several times and the food was amazing! This time, 2 of the 3 meals at our table had bad beef. I told the waitress and she acknowledged someone previously complaining about a steak that smelled on the down side of bad....More

Interesting concept, a hybrid restaurant of Mexican and Cajun! My wife really enjoyed her meal, and the queso was top notch. I should have ordered a Mexican or Cajun dish, but I made a mistake and ordered the flat iron steak. My experience with the...More

Tried the Cajun fondue. Awesome taste. Spicy but not overwhelming. Lots of flavor with crawfish, spinach and mushrooms. Finished off with the goat cheese and shrimp pasta. More great taste! Had a great summer drink with coconut and peach. Can’t remember the name. Loved it!...More

Our first visit and we’ll be back when we’re in town. Devon was an excellent server - friendly, knowledgeable and very polite. The Bloody Mary steak quesadillas were great. We were not disappointed!!

We ordered that same dish and was just thrilled with the taste. The flavors were incredible. The only complaint was the portion size. The chicken breast was on the small side. The vegetable skewer was just a garnish. However, the saving grace was the caramelized...More

Food was fantastic. I had fried goat cheese salad. My husband had the chicken chimichangas. Happy hour prices after 2:00. Great beer selection. Will definitely go back. Service was wonderful.

It mixes unpretentious, hometown feel with some interesting, creative menu choices. I like that it has a very homey, local feel but it's not just boring, traditional meat and three that you typically find in a local place. I have always enjoyed my dinners here...More
