Interesting and well-prepared pizzas in an open oven. Good pastas. Salads aren't as good as the main dishes.

We visited here during the summer of 2014, and were already amazed by the great interior and overall cleanliness of the restaurant. We had party of 11 and were perfectly served and in good time. The cuisine on offer was vast and my meal came neatly presented and tasted great, and everyone else was satisfied. If we were to return... More

We eat here a few times a year. This Italian establishment changed hands a few years ago. It was a while before the new owners settled into the excellent food and service they now offer. Upstairs is a popular jazz lounge that serves food and drinks. We usually eat there as a family. We enjoy the chicken piccata, veal, arugula... More

My husband is 1/2 Italian.. So to say he picky is an understatement!!! This place is so good you can taste the freshness of the sauce, and the meatballs. It is on the pricey side but it is well worth it. HUGE portions. Very cozy atmosphere. Can't wait to go back.

Food is well done and with a light hand vs the usual heavy sauced glop you usually get at Italian places. Waitress are professional but need to smile a bit more. Bread is a winner. My husband and friends love the minestrone. Scampi and clam dishes are great. Veal Marsala had lemon-not good. Veal itself was very small and tough.... More

We were so sad when the Studio City Vitello's changed hands because it was one of the only traditional Italian restaurants left in the valley. Once we found the Vitello family opened a new Vitello's in Thousand Oaks, we remembered the food we loved. The food is great, portions are large and all at a reasonable price.

The first visit several months ago was not satisfying. We were glad we came back after a recommendation from a friend. I had the classic lasagna which was the best I have had in this area. My wife had the penne arrabbiata which was also very good. The service was also excellent.

My husband and I have been coming here for several years. We travel some distance, and pass other Italian restaurants, to get here. Their sauces, bread and Margherita pizzetti are superb. So wish we live closer.

Do you think you have the right to hold an opinion about what foods look appetizing or not? Or whether you think the food is tasty or not? Well, if you do, don't go to Vitello's, because Mr. Vitello, the younger, thinks he knows best! The subject - pepperoni pizza. Last Friday night. I ordered a pizza with mushrooms, peppers... More
