The long wait for the re-opening was well worth it, the new space is great and good to see the friendly familiar faces. Blueberry muffins ***** stars!

I've eaten here many times but have never had the pancakes. On this visit I stepped into the gluten world and ordered the atole/piñon pancake. I don't think the pancake is gluten-free but is a mixture of blue corn and flour. It is literally 12...More

The food was good, and the servings were large. We both had ham and eggs (the special) and the ham steak was huge. But the potatoes were greasy and cooked unevenly. Our server did a good job of taking care of us with ample refills...More

The Tecolote (means owl in local Spanish) is famous for its breakfasts. Large spacious quarters, bustling atmosphere, with people making biscuits in full view. Fast, snappy service, great food. Moved from Cerrillos to St. Michaels.

The resturant is a decent breakfast place but has no atmosphere . ( I looked at dirty dishes in the cart) during breakfast. I will say my food was tasty... however, the breadbasket selections were a bit over cooked and dry. My husbands omelette was...More

Tecolote Cafe was started in 1980 by Bill and Alice Jennison with a desire to feed guests great meals, affordably, with superior service. Mr. Bill and Alice's recipes have been pleasing palettes for 31 years. In May of 2010, sadly, we lost Mr. Bill after a long and accomplished life. Since August 2010, Katherine Adkins (Bill and Alice's daughter) and her husband Matt Adkins have been doing their best to honor Mr. Bill and Ms. Alice's vision in carrying on the family business. Sadly we also lost Ms.Alice in December of 2012. We offer a varied menu focusing primarily on New Mexican breakfast and lunch cuisine, as well as some American favorites. We bake all of our breads in house as well as our muffins and biscuits contained in our bakery basket. A little known secret to our great burgers? Fresh baked Kaiser rolls to vehicle our superb patties and ingredients. Whether you come for breakfast or lunch, we are sure you will be pleased with our delectable choices and our warm, friendly atmosphere. If you aren't, just let us know so we can make your experience everything you hoped for!Katie and I can't wait to see you on your next visit. So, come on in, and remember, we serve "Great breakfast, No toast!", just for you.
