This is one of my favorite restaurants in Santa Fe. The have a marvelous chili, great bar beverages, and cozy ambiance. I've had steak, fresh salmon, and even Thanksgiving dinner here: it's all great!

With friends, nice atmosphere, good service. Several of us had the Asian spare ribs which were done with Hoisen sauce. The half portion was more than enough for a main course. Others had the chicken & the smaller steak. All were excellent. Good Margaritas. Would recommend.

We were in town for 2 nights at the end of February and came here on the second night (myself, husband and our 21 year old daughter). We opted to have the cheese fondue to start with an oh my goodness we should have just stopped there. It was gorgeous, lovely cheese fondue and plenty of bread and vegetables to... More

If you like prime rib you NEED to visit this place. Best prime rib ever. Also recommend the fondu appetizer.

We wanted to try Rio Chama before we rented a room for a meeting. Our host sat us promptly and our waiter was attentive. The wine list is very extensive, but also a little expensive unless you would like t join the wine club. We ordered a bottle and it was very good. The Prime Rib and Filet were very... More

Dinner for two on a Thursday night. Restaurant was not crowded. We had the filet and the prime rib, both wonderful with enjoyable sides. Server was quite good. This restaurant is very close to the State Capitol, which was a slight drawback, as there was a younger man with an ID badge at a nearby table, who was loud, on... More

We very much appreciate the kind words. Sometime the NM legislative session can take unsuspecting patrons by surprise, but not to fret it ends on March 17th. More

This is one of Santa Fe's institutions - being that it's next door to the NM State Capitol Building and owned by the Santa Fe Godfather - but it really isn't that good. In fact, my personal experience has been about 50/50. And when a place like this is bad, it makes me angry because they have no excuse. Tonight... More

I would like to commend you for these comments. There are many legitimate concerns here that I have taken to heart. We pride ourselves offering consistent service and food to all that walk through our doors, regardless of any kind of status. I think it's why we've built such a strong local following. The fact that you have not felt... More

Made a reservation for Valentine's Day several weeks in advance. I was assured by the woman who took my reservation that while the restaurant was busy that night I would have a small booth in the corner of the restaurant. However when we arrived we were told our table was downstairs. I asked if that were a "good thing" but... More

We had a great meal at a reasonable price. Prime rib was cooked to perfection, the au jus was especially nice, The chocolate cup was outstanding. I was expecting slow service, but was very pleasantly surprised.

Several at our table this time had beef dishes....no surprise. One prime rib eater loved his while the other declared his "too salty." Probably because they brine the meet as indicated in the menu. I broke out of the beef-eaters mold, however, having the Duck Leg Cassoulet. Not as good as that in southern France, but a damn good facsimile!... More
