Five friends attended the Women Writing the West conference in October of 2016. Mucho Gusto was a recommended restaurant, and we were glad we went. We all had different dishes, and all of us loved the food. Our waiter was attentive and pleasant, and made requested substitutions willingly. It was quiet, so we could talk easily. We went on a... We were driving Route 66 across America with two other couples and I had volunteered to research and select the restaurants on our route. One of the couples revealed they did not like Mexican as they had previously had a bad experience. I took the risk of persuading them to try again as my research suggested Mucho Gusto was a... More

In a week, I was back here 3 times and confirmed consistent quality in food and service. The margarita ice cream pie with the toasted almond crust - oh my! The wait staff helped inform me, a novice to Mexican food, with my menu choices. Every detail from the sliced avocado, salsa, and yummy black bean spread was fresh and... More

This place has a coffee shop atmosphere, and the entrance is tucked away on a parking lot. The food is good, prices good to middle range. I'd give it higher marks if if the dining experience did not feel so cramped and stressed (we came at lunch after 1 pm.) The presentation of the food was average. The taste of... More

Love this place! Great menu and great staff. Don't be deceived by the location in the back of a strip mall. This is where the locals eat and the food and prices are spectacular.

Mucho Gusto serves a range of Mexican dishes, but the best way to describe the meals is that they are average with nothing that stands out as unique or exceptional. The service is thoughtful and attentive.

If you like Northern New Mexican food (think green and red chile sauce) this is a great restaurant. The sauces are excellent, selection is great and the prices are affordable.

I guess I was a bit miffed when I first walked into a very warm restaurant! I was fanning myself, so the waitress turned on the air for me. I wondered why other customers hadn't said anything! Mucho Gusto was located off the beaten path, the restaurant being a standard Tex-mex place. Most Mexican restaurants give you complimentary salsa and... More

This was close to our Canyon Road rental home, so we just wandered down for a casual dinner. Was calm, clean, tasty and relaxing. Food was fresh, colorful and flavorful. Price was quite reasonable.

We went to Mucho Gusto to celebrate my son's 18th birthday. What a gem! It's within walking distance of the downtown/historic area. The chips/salsa were great, but the entrees were the best we've had in Santa Fe. If you like Cafe Pasqual's, you'll like Mucho Gusto. Great Southwestern food, served with quiet excellence and obvious pride.
