Tasty drinking chocolate. The ice cream is great!! The staff is friendly and they will offer samples of the various flavors. Its amazing how great spicy chocolate can be.

For a unique and tasty stop we visited Kakawa Chocolate House. Kakawa Chocolate House offers delicious drinking chocolates in a variety of flavor combinations, handmade chocolates, and desserts. I especially love that they have a large offering of dairy free drinks and chocolates! We ordered drinks and chocolates and enjoyed the sunlight on their pet friendly patio. Since coming home... After Christmas Eve caroling, we stopped in for hot chocolate- the finest there is. We love this place. Don't go without eating a Tophat, my favorite, or a goat cheese truffle. These are the very best chocolates from the nicest people!

Tame American or Exotic Mexican Chocolate drinks, "candy", cookies, pure, ice cream. A legal buzz and true meditative experience. Take home as many kinds as you can. If you're in a group set up a tasting experience. I went with media associates on a Food Tour of Santa Fe, but Kakawa become a "friend experience."

Discovered this place a few years ago and it was still amazing on our most recent trip. I am not into coffee, so this is a fantastic alternative for a lover of chocolate. There are plenty of options for those with gluten and or dairy issues. The best part is bringing bags of the drinking chocolate home.

This place elevates a chocolate lovers dream to pure heaven. So many delightful concoctions to please the chocolate connoisseurs and anyone who has appreciation for the history and taste of high quality coca. While it isn't cheap one must consider the quality ingredients that go into making their special recipes. Some of this chocolate that even feel medicinal, if you... More

Fun place to meet friends and drink hot chocolate, buy gifts that are uniquely Santa Fe and the ice cream is really good.

Kakawa has the best salted caramels I have ever tasted. The owner is always warm and welcoming and the atmosphere is great! I love going to Kakawa.

I was really disappointed based on how highly Kakawa is rated. They do have a lot of options, but the brownie I got (Aztec chocolate, I believe) was, in my opinion, gross. And I do love very bitter cocoas. The drinking elixirs - although very good- are overpriced, with a 3 oz cup (barely bigger than the sample they give... More

Maria, we appreciate your feedback and are sorry to hear you were disappointed. Our elixirs, unlike conventional hot chocolate, are made quite intense and with only the highest quality ingredients, we do offer samples as part of the total experience so guests can better choose precisely the blend for them. The Aztec brownie is a very unusual brownie, made with... More
