We enjoy this cafe and love the variety of choices. The staff is pleasant and attentive. This place gets busy and doesn't appear to take reservations. We saw some groups of 10+ leave since it's not a large place to accommodate them.

The Plaza Cafe was so good we went back a second time - and that is saying a lot when traveling. Breakfast's huevos rancheros was excellent (order Christmas-style) and pancakes where huge. For dinner, believe it or not, the meatloaf was remarkable. Unique flavor. Wait...More

Right at the center of the plaza. But inside a little too noisy and touristy. May be all the extra hype about this place set the expectations way too high. Serves tourist version of SW cuisine. had calamari-underseasoned and limp; fajitas- so so; huevos ranchero-...More

If you want/need to eat right on the Plaza in Santa Fe, this is an excellent choice. The waitstaff is terrific. Everything we tried off the menu was outstanding. The food is cooked to order and everything tasted fresh and delicious.

Ordered Turkey Club Grande. Told waitress we wanted to share. First of all, the club was not cut in four pieces! How strange?? Ordered it before at this place--always came on two plates with 2 quarter sandwiches and half the frys each. Where was the...More

After a long hunt through the plaza area for hats, we almost turned away from this crowded place, but were quite surprised when the hostess said "Only 2? Sure, cone on in!" Staff was actually quite quick for a packed house with lots of families,...More

This place had really good reviews but seemed pretty average to me. Seating is pretty tight and the servers were practically running to keep up.More

I'm sorry to hear we didn't make more of an impression, Allison -- I have to say that's really unlike us. I'll be sure to keep an eye on the service to make sure it's running smoothly, though I wish I had a better idea...More

Description
The Plaza Cafe on the Santa Fe Plaza is a historic restaurant that has reopened after a fire in Sep 2010. It is the dining hub on the Plaza. It reopened last week and I would like to write a review of my experience. Joe Shaffer
