Lovely atmosphere and super cute place. But the food was average and nothing spectacular. If the food was better, I would definitely come back! :-)

This was probably the worst Mexican meal I have ever had. I love the physical building and the waitstaff was very pleasant. That's about all I can say about this place on a positive note. I had Chile en Nogada. The chile had been roasted...More

We had been for lunch before but tried them for dinner and it was great! Quiet place...they do not serve free chips and salsa...and sangria was a little too sweet for my tastes. We had the nicest waiter and the food was great. My Dad...More

Good food and cool atmosphere. Enchiladas were excellent! Good location right beside the old town. Would go back!

The food here is good. Had a he guacamole and salsa and chips as an appetizer. Both good. Everyone enjoyed their entrees too. Waiter was on top of it. Very good service!

Like many establishments in Santa Fe, this restaurant has a beer and wine license, not a full liquor license. So when they serve "mixed drinks" (which they inappropriately call "spirits" on their menu), they use agave and the like in place of tequila or vodka....More

Checked into my nearby B&B, and even before unpacking, needed a lunch, after a long drive. Casa Chimayo was a fine choice. I had a nice house salad, and Posole, which gave me a needed boost. I think you'll like it.

My husband and I ate here for dinner and had the guacamole, stacked enchiladas and house margaritas. The guacamole and enchiladas were very good. They both had a lot of flavor and tasted authentic. The margarita was very sweet and tasted as if it was...More

This is a small restaurant, so get your reservations early on the weekend. There is a nice patio in addition to the inside seating. The food was very good, but not outstanding. The service was outstanding. Only wine and beer.

Casa Chimayo’s traditional approach to preparing authentic New Mexican cuisine, or “Comida de Nueva España,” as Don Timoteo, the patriarch of the restaurant, refers to it, comes from his commitment to using Grandma’s recipes and local ingredients. Guy Fieri featured Casa Chimayo in a segment titled “Aces Of Authenticity,” on his popular Food Network show “Diners, Drive-ins & Dives, showcasing their popular blue corn enchiladas! New Mexican cuisine has evolved from a blending of Spanish and Native American ingredients, resulting in a culinary experience like no other. Don Timoteo is proud to serve authentic New Mexican dishes using fresh, local ingredients such as: red and green chile, corn, beans, blue corn, posole, tortillas, tamales, atole, and more!
