I had the lamb stew. It was good, but there were gristly pieces, and many pieces had to be cut to fit in the spoon and my mouth.

Maybe you have never had African food. This is a great way to be introduced. Experience the different types of spices! I recommend the combination plate -- goat stew and a curry.

We loved everything about this place! The restaurant was vibrant and full of life. Food was Delicious and nutritious! The Chef/owner and staff entertained the house with drums and other instruments for birthdays. Must stop when in Santa Fe!!

I didn't expect to have African/ Caribbean food in Santa Fe, but this place was a pleasant surprise! The Moroccan lamb stew was excellent. Crab cake appetizers were a good vehicle for trying the Jamaican hot sauces on the table. The place smells of unique...More

There are not many African people living in Santa Fe, but fortunately one of the few is the chef-owner of Jambo. Not only are his African (mostly Kenyan and other east African) dishes unusual and delicious, but he is creative. Work your way down his...More

We have frequented Jambo Cafe before but brought out of town family that loved the cuisine and the service. We were quite content after a delicious meal including dessert and coffee. The price was more than reasonable. Treat yourself to wonderful place!

We were referred to this place by a local while in town on vacation. The service and food were over the top. It's certainly a nice change of pace from the many New Mexican restaurants here and so good that we had dinner twice there...More

Inventive and delicious-sounding options. We both had fish, one dish was a nightly special and the other was a regular mahi-mahi entree. Outstanding. Our waitress was Shanya, so friendly and helpful.

You don't need reservations...but don't plan to arrive at 12 noon! Earlier or later is best.

The dishes were not heavily seasoned, but all of ours contained sodium. There are links on their website for their menu and to ask jambocafe directly.
