I really enjoyed my lunch today which consisted of the "jerk chicken sandwich" and I substituted the soup of the day which was the coconut shrimp/artichoke soup. Both were excellent but the soup was outstanding. Friendly and helpful staff. Nothing fancy but the food is excellent!

A fusion of Caribbean and African food done so well- from Curried crab cakes to Jerk chicken- it will make your eyes roll in the back of your head! Try the Tropical iced tea- and also the Scotch bonnet pepper sauce on the table is a must try on any dish you pick! Many wonderful fish dishes as well- always... More

Most of my friends who live in Santa Fe love this place and with good reason. The food is tasty and very different from the standard New Mexican fare - lots of wonderful juxtapositions of flavors - plantains with cinnamon and spicy pineapple sauce; there's organic and gluten free options and great spins on the desserts - I loved the... If you enjoy trying new types of cuisine, I absolutely recommend dinner at Jambo's Café. This reasonably priced restaurant is located outside the downtown area, so parking is no problem at all. Since we had no experience at all and choices were hard to make, we followed the advice of the waiter and had a plate with 3 different dishes... More

The beef kabobs were very tasty. I sampled the coconut shrimp with white rice too. Both were quite good.

Jerk chicken was delicious as were other vegetarian dishes and soups. A delightful dining experience.

Maybe the service would have been better if I'd gotten a table. The bartender seemed to regard me as an annoyance. The lamb stew was tasty. I paid my bill and got out.

y husband and I went on a Monday night. Surprisingly we were asked if we had reservations. It was still busy. Even after we sat down the place filled up and when we left at 7 p.m. it was full. My husband had the “turf” of grilled beef, but spiced very tastefully, and I had the “surf” of mahi mahi... More

Perhaps Jambo is a victim of its own success. We have enjoyed their extraordinary cuisine for several years now, but the food is not up to the high standards they had previously set. The Moroccan Lamb stew, my favorite is still good, but the overall experience is not really pleasant. The atmosphere is crowded and noisy, the service inattentive and... More

We were a party of six and read other reviews on this restaurant which were all stellar. We got there after 1 PM and they were busy, so we had to wait maybe 5 minutes for our table.
