Fun time with family. Food was tasty and the margaritas were very good. They add a tip on for large parties which we didn't feel was necessary. But a good stop non the less

Very good first night meal for a long weekend in San Antonio. My friend and I each had the Hand Shaken Margarita which was very good but a bit overpriced for the quality. My buddy had the Enchilada Mole' which he enjoyed. I had the Short Rib Tacos which were delicious. I would eat here again.

If you have a choice eat on the terrace. I enjoyed the enchilada verdes, good flavor, served hot. It is a popular place to eat outdoors along the riverwalk. I like the terrace seating above the walk.

We had sat down for dinner, and got our chips and salsa. My husband asked (as he always does) "can I get some heat?" Usually the waitstaff will ask "Tabasco?" And He will respond with a yes. This time the waitress said "We have a house made dip, it's 1.95?" We looked at each other, eyebrows up. Special hot sauce?... More

This is an expensive Mexican food buffet in a fancy hotel. This is San Antonio. I've got little dives all over town that don't have the atmosphere but have much better Mexican food for much lower price. They try to be "authentic," but I found the food to be rather plain. Go have breakfast or lunch a couple of blocks... More

We live in San Antonio and love love love Acenar and go every time we want Mexican food downtown. It is located on the Riverwalk and has easy access from Houston Street (it is next to Hotel Valencia). The cerviche and salsa are both perfect which are the two items we use to judge Mexican food restaurants and Acenar has... More

One of those places where I recall the food being good, but not particularly memorable or noteworthy...I had to think for about 20 seconds to remember what I had there about two days ago (tacos). Pretty solid location in one of the quieter, lesser foot trafficked areas of the riverwalk. Place had a little bit more of a dark, mature,... More

This was good Mexican food. Had the Enchiladas Verdes, very good flavor. Service was good. Katie is very good at what she does.

Had a fantastic dinner on a beautiful portion of the Riverwalk. Plenty of them darn birds to make it an authentic experience. The salsa is worth taking a pocket full home.

This is my go to for good interior Mexican food. I always get the chicken mole enchiladas. They are the best in town. Salty and sweet, but make sure you know what you are getting, they are a little out of the ordinary. Everything else is great also.
