Love this restaurant! The food and service on our visit were both awesome! I had the Akaushi burger which was fresh, perfectly grilled and just outstanding. My husband had the catfish which was a huge beautifully fried filet. He said it was delicious, hot and tender. Our servers (we had two) were attentive and friendly. The owner/manager was a delight,... More

Hair in Sandwich. Just that alone gives it a one star. First off this was the worse brisket sandwich I ever had. Not much meat inside and a lot of fat. When I had a couple of bites left, behold a hair. No it was not mine - this was IN the sandwich. I would have said something had I... More

In town for a business trip and decided to try this restaurant. We were walking by and saw the restaurant had a good choice of food. I got the brisket and sausage plate and it was very good. Brisket was tender, had good taste and the sausage was good as well. We sat by the water and were taken good... More

While I know it's a tourist hangout, while we understand it is not gourmet, it is still good. They have a little bit of everything on the menu (BBQ, TexMex, Mexican, Bugers...) Get a seat by the River and watch and feed the ducks.

It's been awhile, but glad we revisited an old friend. The food here is fantastic all the time. Burgers, bar be que, chips and salsa and other assorted dishes. Always good year in and year out.

Very friendly staff, wide variety of food and beverages, excellent view alongside the Riverwalk. Many local craft beers to choose from, would come back again.

We walked up and an open table outside on the river was available! Perfect location! Great view and fun atmosphere. The margarita and beer was great. The food is not that great. By the time we left the wait for a table was an hour.

Walking on the Riverwalk we wanted to stop for a cool drink. Casa Rio had a 30-minute wait for a table, so we went under the bridge and discovered Republic of Texas. It was Sunday, they were busy, but the service came reasonably quickly. We all ordered cans of hard cider from Austin, talked for a while, waited a little... More

Sat at a table along the riverside where the boats and ducks went by. Service was pleasant, friendly, and timely. Prices are mid range and the servings are plentiful! We had chicken and steak combo fajitas which were very tasty served in a small iron skillet. The chicken fried steak could not be contained on the plate. It was HUGE!

The ambience is wonderful. The wait staff super friendly. The food was hit or miss depending on what you order. This part of the river walk is one of my favorites though
