There is more to a restaurant than the food .....although this has some great barbecue, it may not be the very greatest in the USA. However visiting this downtown establishment was a wonderful experience to taste Texas and see and meet the people of the area. I'm not particularly fond of cafeteria styles but the atmosphere made up for it.... More

Get the true San Antonio taste, especially the marinated onions and the rye bread on the condiments bar at Bill Millers, what regular San Antonians know as consistent, flavorful, tender, fair priced and homey, comforting side orders.

The green beans are borderline fantastic. But, that is not why I go to a BBQ place. The pork and beef are over-cooked, generally poor qualilty cuts, and not a good value for your money. Bill Miller is a big time operation with many, many restaurants-- all partaking of the same food preparation process. I cannot with good conscious recommend... More

Bill Miller BBQs are indeed all over San Antonio, however the food is average and is actually cooked in one huge kitchen and trucked to each location. The service also greatly varies at different locations. It is however, convenient and quick- just check your order each time if you go to drive-thru

I had lunch here today and didn't care for it. I had the turkey, which was the driest meat I think I've ever had in my life. Too much pepper on the skin also. I doubt I'll go back, which is a shame because it's so convenient to my office.

Every time I stay downtown, at least one of my meals has to be Bill Miller. Crazy as it sounds, I love their fried chicken!! This one serves the downtown area though. So its hours are different. Closes earlier and no weekends. But, I'm usually able to get my lunch on at least once.

We were walking and saw many people going in. It is cafeteria style.I had the wrangler plate which was just the correct size for lunch with 2 sides. Lots of seating.Upstairs also. The brisket was very good.

Seriously love this place. I travel for work so every time I find myself in San Antonio I visit this establishment. The BBQ sandwich is a hefty serving of thick sliced beef. The BBQ sauce is amazing with it's own sweet taste. I do the Adkins diet and they'll happily serve it without the bread.

This restaurant felt like a bit of a time warp experience. They are a family business that seems to serve mainly those who work in the area, just south of the city centre. It's like home cookin' with a friendly smile but definitely not memorable "must go"

Where else will you find slow-cooked, old fashioned barbeque served at fast food speeds? It's also really inexpensive.
