This is some great authentic San Antonio Mexican food and where the locals eat. The only draw back is it is always busy and the waiters are not the most attentive. We never were offered a drink or chip refill and the chip bowl is...More

The atmosphere is amazing with statues, a fountain, and murals. I ordered the sour cream and cheese chicken enchiladas and was not disappointed. The chips and salsa were delicious. This place is very family friendly, but does get packed. Our waitress was quick to fill...More

Festive atmosphere. Food was good. "Typical" Mexican with rice and beans. Quite tasty, nothing out of ordinary. Staff was great. Crowd was fun

The breakfast was good. I liked the chorizo breakfast dish. My husband enjoyed the chilaquiles and my daughter liked the huevos rancheros. We saw a lady cooking fresh flower tortillas and they were good. The only issue was that my chef daughter said the potatoes...More

The vegetarian option was very limited ( exactly two) but the food was delicious. The service was good and the atmosphere was terrific. This place serves authentic Mexican food and would visit again.

I have been to this restaurant about 3-4 times over 15 years. Unfortunately we brought some friends to the restaurant and were thoroughly disappointed. The service was very disappointing. I believe the gentleman who served us had to of been on his first day. He...More

It seems we always visit one of the Cortez Family Restaurants in San Antonio. When we were denied service at La Fonda on Main, we decided to go to Pico. The host had no trouble seating us and we were treated royally. The waiter was...More

This restaurant serves good food but most of their food is highly salted. The service is good and food prices are reasonable. The beans are definitely too salty! Nice atmosphere but sometimes it gets to noisy! They have mariachis on the weekends. There is an...More

Description
At Pico de Gallo, our high standards were set over 75 years ago when Pete Cortez, a native of Guadalajara, Jalisco opened his first restaurant, Mi Tierra. In time, popularity of the restaurant grew and a new, more spacious location had to be purchased. Today, our family owns four restaurants - La Margarita, Pico de Gallo, Viva Villa Taqueria and Mi Tierra, and Pete and Cruz's children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren still uphold the same standards that were set years ago. We are still revered as one of the best Mexican food restaurants to visit, and provide a unique cultural ambience that is fun for locals and tourists alike. Conveniently located in the heart of the Alamo city, we invite you to bring your family and friends to experience everything that is Pico de Gallo.
