Ultra slow - I think I saw our waitress run out the back door never to return. The other staff tried to compensate eventually when we asked about the status of our food order. Note this was late afternoon - not during lunch rush on Easter Sunday.

Come for the atmosphere and stay for the atmosphere!. You will not be disappointed by the setting; in a glass conservatory overlooking the River Walk and attached to the classy Hotel Havana. The staff are educated, polite and helpful. I wish I could add raves about the food or drinks, both of which were fine/okay, but nothing special. Honestly, we... More

Sampled the Cuban sandwich and it was excellent. We were there on a food tour so did not see the menu.

Reminds me of Paris bistro. Walls open to outside. Decor is wonderful. Food was very good and different. Looks out over river. Would go back again.

This gorgeous old cafe, on the quiet end of the Riverwalk, serves the most exquisite breakfast. Try the soft, warm tortillas with blackberry butter, smothered in local honey, served with strong black coffee and fresh cream in vintage Fiesta-ware. Sparrows flit around the screened windows. The old trees in the garden sigh. Even the music tracks playing softly in the... More

Lovely setting, on the river but slightly off the general tourist track. The service was a little slow at first - then we realized they were short-handed (I guess someone didn't show) and our waitress did everything she could to make it up. The menu is not extensive but the food is fresh and quite delicious. Cuban Latino The place... More

We were just in San Antonio for a few days, and not being from the area didn't realize it was school vacation week and spring break. The Riverwalk was, let's just say, overwhelming. We lasted about 10 minutes before looking at each other with wide eyes, saying we have got to get out of here. We escaped up one of... More

Good Evening! San Antonio is a popular spot for Spring Break. Yes, the Riverwalk gets to be crowed and a chore just to get from one end to another. I am happy to hear that you "found us" and that you were able to relax on the "calmer" side of the Riverwalk. I am absolutely thrilled that the Ocho staff... More

I have tried to like this place but the service is just so bad. This also may be why I never see the same waiters. The food is great and the decor could not be prettier but I've had bad service the past THREE times I've been here. It's not enough to look good, you have to provide quality service.... More

This restaurant is along the part of the River Walk that is not laced with businesses and crowds. You sit on the second floor, in the trees, overlooking the water. It has such a great feel to it. We had margaritas, the red snapper with coconut rice special, tostones, and guac and chips. Only odd part is first come first... More

Description
Inspired by the union of old and new worlds, Ocho at Hotel Havana offers two unique spaces for dining and drinks on the Museum Reach of the River Walk in San Antonio. The upstairs Ocho dining room, situated in a glass and steel conservatory reminiscent of a birdcage, opens onto the river and offers seating both indoors and outdoors. The downstairs lounge provides a dimly candlelit gathering place with velvet couches and antique leather club chairs suited for intimate meetings and secret rendezvous. Ocho at Hotel Havana presents a food, cocktail and wine menu that is rooted in the hotel's pan-Latin cultural influences. Ocho offers inventive menus for breakfast (voted among the Best in Texas by Texas Monthly Magazine), lunch, dinner and late night to be served in-room, on the patio or in the upstairs lounge.
