They are also a restaurant, but they do brew their own beer! I had the close encounter sour and it was really good! Classic sour with a nice touch of peach. One of my friends got the raspberry sour and the raspberry in it was perfect. The service was also awesome! It really made the experience here. They were very... More

Beer is fantastic! Great location with other restaurants and shops nearby. Food is hit-or-miss. One of the few places near the RiverWalk that has ample free parking. Did I mention the beer was organic??? Oh, and there's a great little provisions shop next door where you can fill a growler and buy neat little snacks and gifts.

Nothing like pancakes and beer for lunch! Honest! The food is always good, the Beer is excellent. We have been stopping here on our way through SanAntonio for a while. Easy to get to from I-10, and the walk along the river is delightful.

Take the southern extension of the famous San Antonio Riverwalk for a relaxing respite from the hordes of tourists. Then, less than a mile's walk away, stop at the Blue Star Brewing restaurant and micro-brewery. The atmosphere is casual and the food is fabulous. Plus, because it has yet to be overwhelmed by tourists, the prices are 30 - 40%... More

I loved this out-or-the -way brewhouse. If you don't know it's there you would never find it by just riding by. excellent beer and excellent food! Been a while since I was there.

Ubered over from the riverwalk downtown and then walked back, maybe a couple of miles. Not too crowded, so we sat outside on the deck and everyone had a friendly dog with them it seems. Good beer: Cask conditioned ale, Cowtown brown ale, and TexMex lager, micheladas. The pickled veggies wee actually great!

So, I was between events on Martin Luther King Day. I stopped into Blue Star Brewery for a rest. Special was three chicken-fried chicken fingers over linguini alfredo. It was the best alfredo I've had in a long time! Clearly made from scratch, served at just the right temp. The raspberry beer was surprisingly good! I've enjoyed the pilsner several... More

A very nice, quirky, eclectic place to eat. This used to be an old arts area & is now a more upscale food & drinks area. Food was good, a bit pricey for some items & all the beer is local & organic. So, if you're into organic foods high brews, this is your place.

We stopped in here for a quick drink. It's a cool little brewery that also offers food. Had we not already eaten we would have definitely grabbed something off their menu, it all looked delicious.

We went for the beer, but the food was excellent and reasonably priced. Try the chili and frito pie. Save room for dessert. The beer was also very good. I recommend the Apache Amber. Our server, Ellen, showed a lot of patience with us!
