We walked by on the way to the visitor's center and the aroma was amazing. We knew we would have to come back and I am glad we did. The nice waitress brought us delicious hot tea. We had some spring rolls and they were wonderful! Delightfully light, crisp rolls with delicious filling. Wife said she thought is was the... More

We have been going to Thai Place for many years, and always enjoy our visits. The food is excellent, the service extremely friendly, and the prices are modest. The Museum Place Mall is not much to look at, but Thai Place-and Cinema Salem next door-is worth a visit.

We were looking forward to this meal because we like Thai food and it had such a high rating. My daughter had a curry dish which was passable and I had the Pad Thai, which was horrible. The flavour was overwhelmingly fishy. When I complained about it the owner went on about how that was a favourite dish and everyone... More

On a tour of Salem, with a limited time to find a nourishing lunch for my limited diet -- at the Thai Place we found nourishing, tasty food, with quick, quiet service.

HAd lunch here twice while staying at the Hawthorne hotel. Veggie pad Thai was great at $8 a plate for lunch. Luncheon special was good too. Not crowded either.

There on halloween weekend Saturday, so maybe I will give some allowance for the place being busy, and the staff working hard. Food was extremely average, and this was only the second place in our US trip where they thought they could add the gratuity to the bill prior to handing the bill to us. ( the other was Daniela's... I wanted to like this place..when I walked in and saw it was in a mall I was turned off but tried to remain optimistic. Service was so friendly but all the food seemed microwaved and down right gross. Seemed more like Chinese fast food rather than authentic Thai food. The one plus was the great mai tai!

As a new yorker with high expectations for asian food, this isnt the best but it is a great change from mostly american eateries in the area. i had the vegetable pad thai and it was pretty good!

We have been dining at Thai Place for many years. The food is consistently terrific, the service quick and friendly, and the prices are very modest-with appetizers, drinks and entrees, dinner for 2 was slightly more than $50 before the tip. One suggestion: Try the house special Mai Tai. It is really good.

Hidden inside the East India Square Mall, this unassuming restaurant provides a quick and fresh lunch deal. I chose the Green Curry Chicken and it was delicious.
