A local friend had recommended Bangkok Café based on a previous enjoyable visit. This was a quiet place for a nice visit over dinner. Easy access off Speedway and plenty of free parking. This week night it was relatively quiet so we were seated right away and attended to quickly. The menu offers a wide variety of Thai dishes --... More

We bought dinner for 02 during last week January 2017, the second time we visited in 6 years. Food was ok, normal Thai food, parking was ample and business like attitude staff.

Bangkok Cafe is a great low key Thai restaurant. If you don't like a lot of heat you can get your food with little "fire". However, if you like your food spicy hot all you have to do is ask and they deliver every time. Every time we travel through Tucson we make sure we time it right to stop... More

A friend of mine went there previously and said it was poor. I tried it because it was close to my job. The pumpkin soup was bland. It tasted like water. The green curry was the only thing that kept me from giving this place a terrible rating. The chicken was tasty and the curry was okay. The pad thai... More

We've been eating a lot of Thai food lately, and this place just doesn't measure up. My Pad Thai had mushy noodles and a flavor that verged on ketchup. Nothing fresh or zingy about it. My husband's Khao Pad was 98% rice with very little seasoning and even less of the pork that was ordered. Staff is friendly but they... More

In our group of 10, three people said their food was bland or improperly spiced, mine included. It's not hard to spice and flavor thai food properly, so this is a huge negative. We also were ignored for 10-15 minutes at a time, despite trying to flag down staff for drink refills or such. The price was not very fair... More

We wanted to find a place near the University. This small restaurant on Speedway is about 1 mile away. We were warmly greeted by staff upon arrival. Service was friendly, helpful, and efficient. Though we weren't so happy with our eggplant salad, we really liked the pad thai and the chicken dish from the eoecial dinner menu section. Lots more... More

This is a regular stop on my frequent trips to Tucson. Always great food. Phat Thai and Panang were delicious. Service good. Reasonable prices and ok atmosphere.

I came here after reading the reviews. I was a little disappointed. The Thai food offers here is of average quality and pricey as well.

Reviewed this place a few years ago and it was a solid 5.Since then, the prices went up the menu went down but the food is still great Had the Pad Krapow and was excellent.Prik nam plah made it even better. The owners seem to have tried to make it less Thai and more western in appearances and atmosphere. Beer prices are... More
