After finding out that there was a 40 minute wait (at 1:30pm in the afternoon) at Mi Nidito, my wife and I discovered Crossroads. In a nutshell, it is an excellent value, food is quite well prepared and service is very attentive. And if you go between 11:00am and 2pm, I recommend the buffet. It came with 4 delicious Mexican... I've been going to this restaurant for many years. I usually get the Carne Seca dinner plate. Carne Seca seems to be strictly a Tucson offering. Even though I love that choice, age is catching up with me and I have to eat half the plate and take the leftovers home. I cannot comment on their buffet though it seems... More

I brought my parents for a meal and to have them see the remodeled Crossroads. They had not been here since the early 1980's. We used to frequent the Crossroads back when Dad played baseball and the Crossroads was more of a watering hole with curbside service for food and drink and a full bar and pool tables inside. It... Been here several times over the years and it is a great spot. Food is reliably delish and some of their seafood dishes really shine (thinking of the bacon shrimp relleno dish in particular). Good chips, two different salsas that were excellent, and decent enough margaritas. Seems like an institution to me - if Mexican is what you want you... More

But still good. I came here in late December for Caldo de Albondigas, or Meatball Soup. The soup was not spicy, not tinged with red as I'm accustomed to. A clear broth, with carrots, zucchini and rice along with the meatballs. Very hearty and very tasty, it cut through the mild chill of the day. I also had a plate... More

Excellent authentic Mexican food in a cool little spot. Good service. All that said, it was very inexpensive.

Met friends there for dinner. Our first time, friends eat there regularly.. some waitresses don't do English well but plenty there to interpret so we got the job done. Facility is little dated - benches not comfortable but chairs and tables worked fine. Overall experience was pleasant...food very food, prices reasonable.

While the service was prompt and friendly, the drinks and food were nothing special. Would not recommend this restaurant when there are several around that are more highly-rated (but they were too packed to eat there the day we went).

My friends favorite place, so I've had the misfortune of eating there twice lately. Most recently I had chicken tacos (tried to keep it simple after the previous meal). For $8 they severed two small open flour tortilla piled high with shredded lettuce and that's about it. We couldn't even get the waiter to bring us our bill afterwards. WOW!... More

We were in town for a tornament and sticking to our rule to eat like the locals we found this little gem. At first we were a little annoyed and disappointed because it took a while for someone to seat us. (the hostess went on break). Then once we were seated, we waited a long time to before anyone came... More
