This family-owned bakery is Tucson's hidden secret when it comes to outstanding bread. The owner and his staff take great pride in their baked wares and they never disappoint. Their rolls, bread and especially the baguettes are outstanding. Baked fresh every morning (except Mondays) they are totally addictive and actually taste they way that bread should taste -no sugar, additives... More

Best if you have a small group. And do not care about healthy eating. A cozy little place to sit inside or out and sip your coffee, etc.

Everything looks to be well made but all are a bit expensive for a single item. It has a honey atmosphere like a coffee shop. It's located in a strip mall so look for it carefully. Large selection of coffee.

We noticed Mona's as we were walking about and spotted the Kringel (which my wife makes only at Christmas). Came back the next morning for Kringel and coffee for breakfast. Didn't disappoint the Danes (or the pseudo-Danes) in our group. Good food, not horrendously expensive. And I have been trying to get my wife to let me go back for... More

It is hard to find a French like pastry (crunch outside and soft inside, but they go it right. Wish I could take them back home.

We are very limited to good, fresh made bakery like they have in Europe, so this place is it. The owner is lovely and makes everything from scratch and fresh.

I really enjoy this little family-owned and run Danish-style coffee and bakery. The service is good, it's great for a little business meetings and the pastries and coffee are excellent.

Have a chocolate croissant, a bear claw, a Danish pastry fresh from the oven, or buy a Kringle to take for a group. You can taste the butter in the fresh warm pastry in the morning. A Tucson favorite.

Mona's has, by far, the best bread and pastries in Tucson, in fact, some of the best I've had anywhere. You can't go wrong with any of their breads, but my personal favorite is the Rustic. Their baguettes rival those found anywhere else, even in "French" bakeries. The breakfast and lunch sandwiches are delicious, everything is fresh and they only... More
