Very varied menu and everything I've tried over many years has been excellent. Generous portions and great taste yet not expensive earns 5 stars.

A friend recommended this little place for decent Chinese food in Tucson and it is darn good. I was spoiled in CA where everywhere you go, you can find good Asian food. Tucson is not really the place for Asian food, so this was a nice surprise. Small and family-owned, very clean, cheerful, and with excellent service. The food was... More

My co-workers and I chose this restaurant for the last night before we all went our separate ways. Each of ordered something different and we all shared. Had BBQ pork for appetizer. Food was great and everyone enjoyed. Won't break the bank and there was plenty to eat. Will definitely eat here again if I have an opportunity.

This is a family owned restaurant and the food and service quite good. It is NOT a buffet style eatery.

Ba-Dar has been around forever, but we kept forgetting about it. We'll think of it now when choosing a Chinese restaurant. The food was very good, we were seated promptly, and the service was fine, too. While both dishes we chose (sesame chicken and Mongolian beef) were marked with the "hot" chili on the menu, we were asked if spicy... More

I can't believe that I haven't been to this restaurant before. It's true, they do have the best hot and sour soup in town, the crab rangoons were also done just right. Can't wait to go back and have a full meal, not just apprtizers.

Not a fantastic meal by any standards. The service was very quick suggesting the food was pre prepared and just warmed up. It certainly tasted that way. Chicken was lumpy and tough and the rice was hard and with no taste. We complained and were given another meal but this was not that different, the rice was fresher this time... More

Tucson is not known as a town with terrific food options, this Chinese is super! Ba Dar is interesting, fresh, and always delicious. The alternative menu (more authentic) has fascinating choices, I can never decide what to have. Staff is cheerful, prices are very decent and the atmosphere is calm and serene.

A Chicago native, I am spoiled by the quality of eats in Chicago Chinatown. Here in Tucson, not so much. But Ba-Dar will do for a nice meal nonetheless. The service is great, food 3-4 star (not disappointed) and the price was very reasonable. I liked the interior of the place with it's aquariums. Not too keen on finding my... More
