We recently visited Lubec and loved the town and this is a great, local inn and restaurant. We stayed here and enjoyed the stay very much. We also enjoyed both breakfast and lunch at the restaurant on site. It is not fancy but quite good; and that is exemplified by the numerous 'locals' who frequent this restaurant. Breakfast was solid... More

Wondered into this place after lunch hour and had the place to ourselves. Right on the water with seals frolicking about. Seafood was very good and well cooked. Prices reasonable. Our waitress was from Romania and was excited to be there, very refreshing. This is a working waterfront location so seafood is fresh. Great location for watching the tide changes.... More

We stayed here with our friends the end of September. Both the restaurant and inn staff were excellent!! Our waitress introduced us to what we now call a 'Lubec' - Shipyard Pumpkin ale and Captain Morgans ale! My goal was to eat lobster served as many different ways as I could during our trip from Washington state to Maine. The... More

You cannot beat the lobster dinner for $19.00- Corn on the cob, cole slaw, FF, & of course your lobster. If you want a bigger lobster it's $4.00. The service is great as well as the food- breakfast, lunch or dinner.

You can't get much fresher lobster than is served in this place! You can see them unloading the catch! Good service and ambiance.

I just returned to my home in Pensacola after discovering Lubec, Maine just after Columbus Day. Lubec is an incredibly charming fishing village on the border of Canada. Chief among the delights which I discovered was the excellent food served at the Wharf Restaurant. The freshest lobster and seafood! Delicious! I had supper there each of the three nights of... Traveled to Nova Scotia and Maine. Tried Lobster in many forms from numerous restaurants. The lobster was not as good as I had many years ago when I last visited. I actually thought I had lost my taste for lobster. Tended to be rather tasteless and sometimes rubbery--not as I remembered. Much like the lobster obtained is South Carolina. This... More

Clams had not been purged, very gritty. Half of our party never received their food, waited 40 minutes and then had to leave, a seafood restaurant that ran out of fish, we had reservations for a large party, they were not ready for us and only had two people in the kitchen.

Your large party was 30 people. Our kitchen is small and to put out drinks, appetizers and meals for that many people sitting at the same time in less than 30 to 40 minutes is a challenge. Everyone's meal was delivered. The diners we spoke with afterwards complimented us on the quality of our food and their dining experience. We... More

We ate there the first night in town and enjoyed it so much that we returned the second night. The first night my wife ordered scallops but the season had recently ended so they were out (suggesting that they were fresh). She then settled for the Captain's platter of assorted seafood - the waitress indicated that it was a lot... More
