Went for coffee and pastry before leaving Providence for Logan. Super staff, friendly, charming. My wife had a flaky pastry apple turnover, I had a maple syrup-pecan flaky pastry. Both were OUTSTANDING. Never had better in all our years. During our visits to Providence we've always gone to Seven Seas bakery They have nice stuff but are almost always stuffed... More

We popped into L-Artisan Cafe & Bakery while walking around Providence taking in all the architecture and beautiful scenery. We each had a hand-crafted coffee and shared a slice of Red Velvet Cheesecake. The store is not huge, but there is plenty of seating and lots more outside for when the weather is warmer. There is a huge range of... More

I was on my Business Trip, I dropped my Customers & waiting for them. When I found Legal Parking, I saw this Bakery and went inside. A small Bakery, and good & tastey Items. Nice and Clean. Great outside sitting arrangement, but it was raining very hard, so could not really enjoy the Feeling of sitting outside.

Great iced coffee and chocolate croissants. Many ready-made items to chose from. We ate here often on our 6 day stay in the area. Sandwiches (delicious), salads, seafood, desserts, so many choices at a reasonable price. Quiche comes in two sizes-huge and small. My husband ate all of the huge vegetable quiche. I don't know if I could have finished the... More

We had breakfast at L'artisan and loved it. French like pastries, croissants and also wraps and sanduiches. Great capuccinos, smoothies, yougurts, in a nice environment. There are some outdoor tables in the small square where it is located, where you can spend some time watching the time goes by, if the weather is nice. A limited choice of salads and... More

I have been here several times for a coffee, salad, dessert, and wine. The best thing this place has going for it, is the location. There is a large triangular patio area right in the middle of Wayland Square, which is prime. The interior is modern but artsy. The downside of this apparently upscale cafe, is the teenage staff don't... More

Some of my friends do not like the big chain coffee place," You know the one, and some don't like the expensive one from the west coast. That being said, anytime I have someone visiting I bring them to L'artisan located at 9 Wayland Square in Providences east side. They have a wide selection of pastries and coffees. The service... The best cafe in the best square, cafe has delicious food/bakery, coffee. Indoor outdoor seating. WiFi. Best sushi across st., and best irish pub next door and shopping, what more could u ask for. Parking behind pub, kind of quirky, only on one side of parking lot is legal. Used book store around corner.
