If you're on top of College Hill, this is your best non-Starbucks option on Thayer Street. Decent seating, and the espresso drinks are solid. I particularly recommend the smoothies - the chocolate, PB, banana is my go-to. Stay away from the grilled cheese. For whatever reason, they don't have this one down yet. Bagel sandwiches are good. Service is not... More

Very good coffee. Housemade pumpkin syrup excellent and not too sweet. Egg sandwich was huge. Homemade granola was good

Ran across the street after our dinner at Flatbread Company for a cappuccino. Great espresso, great atmosphere!

Filled with locals reading, typing and sketching, this coffee house is a perfect place to hangout. The food is very good, the coffee is excellent, and the ambiance is classic. We decided we would definitely return here the next time we visit Providence.

Blue States serves up delicious coffee, lemonade and other drinks and light fare along with a blue state sensibility. This New Yorker is looking forward to visiting Blue States Coffee again very soon despite the distance. Clean, neat with a cool vibe and delicious beverages... what more could one want? Walk right past Starbucks and carry on down to Blue... More

Stopped in for a coffee based on reviews and loved my Caramel Latte! Great taste! Coffee art with soy milk is a challenge, not here. Will Come through again on our next visit.

Always grab a latte or coffee "black" when I am in Providence. It is a casual spot with many teens working on their laptops and chatting in groups. Good vibe- but usually no open seats. The staff is friendly and there are a lot of items to order- I just love grabbing my cup and getting a great first warm... More

Blue state roasts their own coffee. That alone makes it worth the stop if you are in need of a break from the big coffee chains specializing in over-roasted coffee. The service was very good, the barista took time to make and excellent cup, and the coffee was perfect. They also carry a respectable selection of loose teas. The cafe... More

The coffee here was delicious. Seating was ample but full as you would expect a college campus coffee shop to be on a weekday afternoon. The wait in line was long and staff was not very kind nor helpful.
