Baldpate Inn & Museum is just outside the Town of Estes Park on Rt. 7 across the street from Lily Lake. In the summer, it serves the to the public lunch and dinner only. It's a delightful old stagecoach Inn (100+ yrs old) and serves a buffet style lunch with homemade soups, breads, desserts and salad bar. Worth a visit,... More

We visited last week because years ago we had stayed here, and remember how good the food was. Well, the quality control is slipping. First of all $16 per person for salad bar, soup and bread is high. However, knowing that ahead of time, I expected to have top notch soup, salad & bread. The soup was chili, which was... More

The Baldpate Inn grabbed my interest with their rustic building, attachment to history, and claim to the largest key collection in the world. I was pleased to find their lunch time soup and salad buffet lived up to the décor. It was a relaxing atmosphere and felt as if myself and my friends had taken a step back in time.... More

Last year we ate at Baldpate and it was good but this year it was very bad. It is for sale so that may have something to do with it. We spoke to several others that had the same experience. The soup had big chunks of unmelted cheese, the buffet was not very plentiful. Just a bowl of lettuce and... More

Fun, interesting, great views. You go here for the history and great soap and desert. They serve, a salad bar, soup, and desert. The views are spectacular, in the summer months dozens of humming birds. Go early and reserve a table next to the window for excellent views.

All you can eat soup and salad buffet lunch for $16. The breads were the highlight. The lemon ginger muffins were the best thing here. Good corn bread and honey wheat bread. The menu is never the same so check on the blog or face book before you go to find out the choices for the day. One vegetarian and... More

We had lunch at the Baldpate Inn after a three year's absence. While the setting is still delightful and the dining room just as cozy with lovely views, the food is not as good as previously. The format is the same -- soup and salad buffets. The first problem identified was that both of the soups were tepid. We did... More
