Because I ordered the #2 enchiladas and a side tamale and I could only eat half my meal. It was sooo good but too much food for one person unless you are a NFL lineman. The red sauce is a bit spicy but flavorful. Each enchilada is 7" long and filled. The tamale has shredded pork and red sauce. The... More

Everytime we visit El Modelo there is always a long line; however, the wait is worth having the best breakfast sopaipilla and tamales!!

Food was Fantastic! We ordered a sampler (#1) and that would have been enough for the 2 of us, but I ordered an additional Brisket & Green Chili Burrito and at that later. Everything was Freaking Fantastic!

I really enjoy tamales and it's hard to get a good one. When I read the reviews for this place I was so hopeful. I was disappointed. The tamales were in a red sauce which is fine but underneath is a tough cardboard like Masa with an average pork filling. The staff is great. it's a bustling place with lots... More

After a long plane ride, the ribs at El Modelo can warm you up and get you feeling good again. This is a take out joint with tables out back you can use if the weather is nice. Nice selection of new mexican favorites with just enough zing to it.

This place was awesome. I had hoped it would be a sit down restaurant but it was a walk in order. The owner was at the door to greet us which was a great surprise on Christmas Eve. You get a lot of food for your buck. It is like two meals in one. I loved the food and it... More

My father-in-law loved this place "back in the day". There are a few at the top of my list and it usually depends upon where I am when the urge for a burrito comes. When I am close or have the extra time to go out of my way, this is the place. Call ahead if you remember, otherwise enjoys... More

Stopped here for lunch on the way back east. Classic take out and very efficient in getting food ordered. The green chili sauce had a nice bite to it. Lived up to our expectations.
