They do make fresh sandwiches but I've always gone for the homemade bread. It's delicious and they have an online schedule so you can see what they are making on a particular day.

House of Bread is a nice little bakery and sandwich shop, They offer a few different sandwiches and soups, and several fresh-baked breads. Good for lunch.

No one here is friendly.. AT ALL!! don't waste your time. Worst service I've ever gotten. Sad part is that ALL the reviews for this place for the past 5 years say it's horrible service. It seems like no one cares.

The bread is great. The service, however, is disappointing. Although they try to sell themselves as a combination bakery and cafe, there is no service to speak of on the cafe side. Customers are treated like an interruption. That said, I completely adore the raspberry swirl bread. It's not super sweet, but has good flavor. Every time I go, there's... More

They make the best 9 grain bread. And the green chili breadis good, too. The pastries are good. You have to try it to enjoy it.

I really love the bread from this shop. I have made my own bread off and on for many years, and the quality and taste from here is superb. I especially like the green chile, although some of the others are great also. The shop would have received my five star rating if the location was more convenient to me... More

Great sandwiches, fabulous bread, lots of yummy treats make this a great place for a quick lunch. We especially like the lemon bread ( a sweet bread) and the Jalapeño Jack bread (nice and spicy). And the business is a great supporter of local non-profits. They supplied food during KUNM's fund drive and they supported the Albuquerque Folk Festival in... More
