I lived in Mexico for a few years and I love eating here because it reminds me so much of real Mexican food.

Great to see lineups all night on a cold Monday. Very helpful waitress offered me a sample mole plate to choose from. Fantastic mole! Big plates.

We ate here twice and both times the dishes with their mole were excellent one of the best food we had here in this area of salt lake and park city. The desert fried ice cream was worth the calories but don't bother with the tres leches nor the sopapilla.

I have been to this atrocity of a restaurant on two occasions and didn't enjoy either experience. Aesthetically it is very displeasing to me and I don't like when Mexican restaurants claim to be authentic but then serve cheap store bought tortilla chips. I cannot even recall what I had on both occasions but do remember it being wet, sloppy... More

We had a larger group about a dozen of us so had to wait about 30 min. until enough people left that they could move some tables together. Well worth the wait. Although it was crowded inside, the food was excellent! It's not a quite place, lots of hustle and bustle but that makes it a fun spot to be.... More

When I moved to SLC in 1999, people were raving about Red Iguana, and they still rave today. And that raving is well earned. This place has the most consistent high quality Mexican food that I've found - in Utah, California, Arizona, or New Mexico. When my children were small, the staff worked to find food that worked for their... More

We have eaten here a couple of times and have not been disappointed. They serve authentic Mexican cuisine and they are known for their mole's. Our son lives right around the corner and likes to go there often. This place is very popular, so it pays to get there early if you do not want to wait outside for a... More

We went to the Red Iguana knowing what to expect. Amarillo pork carnita enchiladas! Yum! There is always a line out the door so expect a wait but it is worth it! Everything on the menu is worth trying but the Amarillo mole is amazing! The wait staff is friendly and the atmosphere is definitely casual. Margaritas and Epic beer.... More
