This place has very diverse food, fresh, unique dishes. Example bone marrow as a appetizer. Food was delicious. Worth the trip. It does serve alcohol. One drawback, it is noisy. The type of ceiling I believe lends to this problem. It is a crowded place...More

We literally could not hear ourselves speak. Restaurant way too noisy with food that is just so-so at its best. Far better restaurants in the City!

What a great place! I made a reservation for last Monday night. It was packed and lively. The food sounded delicious from what I read prior to dining. My daughter and I were not disappointed. Since it was our first time we ordered too much....More

We ate dinner here and it was delicious. My husband is gluten, dairy, soy free and he had lots of options. He chose their special burger sans bun (I ate part of the brioche bun and it was buttery and yum!) and potato wedges. The...More

I think our server won't be surprised to read this. We went for Sunday lunch and were seated at a good spot. Decor is nice, place wasn't too busy. Husband was particularly hungry after doing yardwork all morning and he ordered a coffee and then...More

Party of 8 on a Friday night. They did take a reservation for us which can be difficult to find in SLC. Eclectic menu. We had the cheese and meat boards for apps. Both interesting. I had the burger which was really amazing. Didn't care...More

For starters: Recommend mixing up the cheese and meat charcuterie. You can do a combo instead separate boards. For Dinner: loved the wagyu beef stroganoff and snake river farms pub steak Sides: delicious asparagus and green beans. Of course olives too to enjoy with wine!

First I'll confess that I'm reviewing a restaurant based on their house burger - so I can't speak to a lot else on the menu...but that burger was one of the top burgers I've had. The caramelized onions and balsamic added a touch to an...More

The Copper Onion offers truly unique options. We had curried peppers and bone marrow for appetizers (both delicious), plus trout with spaetzle and stroganoff for our entrees (also fabulous). Our companions had equally unusual dishes, including a very rare "black and Blue" burger which is...More

Not that I know of. It's a restaurant. But I'm sure you'd have to show an ID to order alcohol...unless you're as old as me!

The Copper Onion is one of the new additions to the growing Utah foodie scene. Former NYC chef (and native Utahan) Ryan Lowder now brings his personal take on New American cuisine to his own kitchen with an approach inspired by his passion for Utah’s outstanding farmstead ingredients and his experience as a chef cooking his way through Barcelona, NYC and South America. The Copper Onion serves a wide array of vegetable side dishes and a menu designed to explore and share, with plates such as Ricotta dumplings with lemon, sage and brown butter and Braised Pork Belly with shaved Brussels sprouts and pickled celeriac. Entrees include Fresh house-made papparedelle with lamb ragout and Duck Confit with butternut squash and roasted mushroom caps. An insistent focus on the freshest and best is paramount; sausages and burgers are ground daily, bread is baked and ice cream is made in house, offering casual diners an exceptional experience at affordable prices.
