On a very busy road the Honey Cafe is a unique take on a road cafe. There is a fully working bee colony visible to patrons. Bees have become a threatened resource so it is good to see they are cared for. There is a full range of bee products, honeys etc including Manuka. The cafe is good with a... More

Stopped on our way north out of Auckland heading for the Bay of Islands. Lovely staff and good selection of cakes. The kids enjoyed the honey milkshakes. Good coffee too! We took a quick look round the shop and when we saw the bees at work and all the things to see we wish we had more time to stay... More

The menu was reasonable but my selection was a bit dry and unappetising on the plate. My friend who was going gluten free and sugar free had few options so she ordered fries, the plate of these was HUGE.

The Honey centre is a favourite of ours. We have bought the dog here for years. The honey is outstanding with many varieties. A tasting table is popular. Lots of lotions and potions to try and buy. A wall of live bees to watch. The cafe is adjoined with lovely rustic tables. Haven't eaten at cafe for a long time,... More

I went into the honey cafe at 1:15 on a Saturday afternoon, I waited at the counter for about 3 or 4 minutes and got no eye contact or comments from any of the 4 people behind the counter, hot meals were closed and there was no information on the cold food in the cabinet so I just walked out... On the way back to Auckland from Kerikeri, I stopped by at the Honey Centre in Warkworth to pick up a jar of honey. I also sat down to enjoy a delicious and refreshing honey milkshake. I'm sorry to see several other recent contributors had a less thrilling experience. I don't know what they were looking for, but I've always... More

After many years of driving by the 'Honey Centre' and meaning to call in, we finally made it this past weekend and quite frankly wish we had not bothered. I was hoping to get a nice breakfast / or brunch but the 'menu' is distinctly lacking and missed a trick on so many levels. The place is drab and dingy... More
