Our business hosts wanted to take us to dinner at one of the best restaurants in town. The three quickly agreed that Antonio's would be the best restaurant to represent the city. The food was unbelievable. There were several options but I stuck to the seafood. The portions were big and like I said the food was unbelievable. Our waitress... More

Rather than writing a review based on a specific visit to Antonio's, I am writing to say that this restaurant is our "go to" place for local Portuguese food. We typically order take-out, and find the consistency of quality and the value to be outstanding, from appetizers to varied entrees. Take-out orders have always been correct and arrive hot. Our... Go where the locals go is what I always say. I felt right at home in this friendly home town restaurant with a lot of local flavor. Food is great with a price that you can't beat. Don't miss out on a great find.

My husband and I try to get to Antonio's several times per year. They have the best Seafood Paella and Pork Alejanta. We always leave with plenty for a second meal. Just delicious!

My wife's nephew and his wife are locals they led us here although Uncle Vic has been previously. Great food atmosphere value...neighborhood is ...rustic! Six of us split 3 "for 2" seafood dishes...Portuguese style little necks, stuffed clams, lots of fresh baked Portuguese roles, little lobster & beef apps....washed down with some hearty red Portuguese wine that was a blend... My husband and I were in New Bedford, MA recently and decided to try Antonio's Restaurant. We love Portuguese and this is certainly the area to find traditional Portuguese food. The restaurant is small and quaint but a wonderful meal. I had the chicken Alentejana and it was wonderful. The amount of food is beyond your expectation. It was served... More

Our New Bedford Historical Society tour guide recommended Antonio's and we're really glad we followed her advice! Martha Stewart stomping ground (the menu lists her favorite appetizer), the menu features Portuguese favorites. The five of us were very hungry! We got shrimp in saffron sauce (20 shrimp), a large salad and the Paella to split, were full and had rice... More

Antonio's is a traditional Portuguese restaurant with a quaint, clean dining room. A family friendly environment great for lunch or dinner. Depending on the time you may have to wait but it's worth it. If you're an early diner (around 5pm) you can get right in. The menu offers authentic Portuguese food which is very good. Haven eaten here multiple... More

My husband and I were visiting the Whaling Museum and ate here for lunch. We had the Shrimp Antonio's for an appetizer and it was amazingly good. By the time we were finished with the appetizer and bread, we were ready for dessert...but our entrées arrived next. I wish we would have shared, because the portions were GIGANTIC! Good food,... Service was great but waitress didn't hover. The best Portuguese food we have had in a log time. One serving of Seafood Casserole was enough for both of us. Atmosphere was friendly local cafe. Bathrooms dated but clean. Good.food, good atmosphere fair price
