Went for our anniversary dinner. Service and food both great. I would definitely return again and again. Atmosphere is also memorable.

A repeat visit to the latest iteration of this unusual downtown restaurant. The Spanish-American theme didn't quite work for us. Nice setting as always, with attentive and professional service. Good wine list. Food fussy, expensive and not consistent with the menu descriptions. With many alternatives nearby, it is hard to recommend.

Try the Sunday evening patio; a virtual diner's delight within an upscale though gem of a restaurant. In the heart of Mill Valley, and definitely one of the must see and be seen place to enjoy . Food, service, and wine exceptional

This is supposed to be a quality restaurant after being the venue of a pleasant cosmopolitan restaurant with a committed following. we decided to celebrate my birthday for a special night out and were totally disappointed: service is curt and slow, and the food was ordinary, especially my steak which was not cooked properly to the doneness that I requested.,... Our family celebrated my sons 35th birthday at El Paseo today. The food and service were exceptional! Whilst the menu was not extensive, the food and wine list were of the highest order. The place has a welcoming feel about it and we certainly be back again in the future! Highly recommended!

Sat out on the romantic patio, wonderful place to celebrate our 25th anniversary. Our waitress was so pleasant, down to earth! Food was superb - heirloom tomato salad, Akaushi Steak. Great experience!! Best restaurant for a special celebration

El Paseo has hosted wine dinners for some time now - a couple years? The dinner is limited to 45 people, who each bring a bottle of something specific from their cellar, and it is opened and shared among all. Recently, I attended the "Napa Cabernet Sauvignons before 1990" dinner, and it did not disappoint. It's a four course meal,... More

El Paseo is an institution, and located in the heart of Mill Valley. It is quaint and cute in an alley. The food is outstanding, tasty and well portioned. We celebrated my birthday tonight with champagne and a bottle of Pinot Noir. We ordered Boquerones, olives and almonds followed by charred tomatoes gazpacho appetizer with Sakura pork loin and Akuashi... More

It was our first time to this restaurant in Mill Valley. We stopped on the way back from wine country before heading into San Francisco. We sat outside in the small courtyard. Tables are a little tight and a little wiggly, but it was still nice. Loved the paella they offered on Sunday evening, which came with a small salad.... More

It is unfortunate that the review can only be characterized as very disappointing. The service was deplorable, with our wait person, pouring the first glass of wine, and then virtually disappearing for the remainder of the evening, other than to hastily present the plates. She was covering 2 other parties of six, and we unfortunately came out on the losing... More
