We tried the Carvers Cafe for lunch on our recent trip to Mt Rushmore. I have to say I was pleasantly surprised. My first impression was this that this is going to be another expensive cafeteria ripoff. Wrong. I did see your typical $10-$12 hamburgers, but I opted for the pot roast with carrots and gravy, mashed potatoes and rolls.... More

A great place for breakfast, lunch or dinner when visiting Mt Rushmore. Seating inside or outside with a great view of the four presidents!

This is one of the better National Park cafeterias I've been to, but there view (of the amazing Mount Rushmore carving) can't be beat! I had the "Abe Lincoln" buffalo burger ... not bad!

I had the cherry nut ice cream, it was wonderful. We also bought three different kinds of fudge, the maple nut was the best. Fun day!

The atmosphere in itself is worth the expense. Sitting and being able to view the presidents on Mt Rushmore is inspiring. I had a chicken sandwich and fries witch were good. Don't forget to get Jefferson's vanilla ice cream. It was devine.

This cafe is situation in the centre of the Mount Rushmore Memorial Site and provided a much needed air conditioned space to relax and eat lunch. There was a selction of foods and drinks offered. The seating area is well spaced out and comfortable.

We had actually hiked to Mount Rushmore on a 2 hour and 45 minute trek from Horsethief Lake and we were hungry. I had to go into the cafeteria and get food to go because we had our dog with us and dogs are not allowed at the monument. No one in this place had ever heard of a to-go... More

We had the monumental breakfast combo at 10:30, just before they started switching to lunch. Our plates were full of scrambled eggs, potatoes, biscuit and gravy, and bacon or sausage. The biscuit was fresh, the gravy creamy with some sausage pieces. A great breakfast to keep you on the go.
