The Hidden Hut used to be a shop just above the beach where my children used to get their buckets, spades and other bits needed for a day on the beach. It is now a lovely restaurent / snack bar serving great food. I am...More

Six of us went for tea and cake mid-afternoon. The place was busy, but the service was still swift and good. We all enjoyed various drinks and cakes and I really enjoyed a huge rocky road! A lovely place to sit and enjoy the beauty...More

What an astonishing little place this is. Up a steep staircase above the Porthcurnick beach (which is amazing) is this little gem. Serving up incredibly tasty sandwiches, soups, dips, cakes and drinks. The menu was a little haphazard - it was 34 degrees and I...More

Great beach cafe serving gourmet food freshly cooked. The specials change each day we had a chicken schwarma with flat bread one day and a great Cornish pasty the other.

We arrived for a late lunch on a breezy June afternoon, with the threat of rain hanging over us. We received a warm welcome and reassurances that umbrellas were ready! We had generous portions of pulled pork and chicken tagine, followed by flapjacks, brownies and...More

Feast Nights at the hut are magical. Lobster Night was special as it was on the beach. With low tide, perfect weather and good friends - this was a special night. Trip Advisor members moan about not getting tickets. Please remember that the rules of...More

We had heard so much about the 'Hidden Hut' and have tried & failed to get tickets for their feast nights that we decided enough was enough and we would go for lunch. We were certainly NOT disappointed, the food was better than expected, street...More

Called in for afternoon ice creams and the setting is so beautiful overlooking the beach. What is more perfect than a beach bar in a fantastic location in England when the sun is shining?

Booked in advance for Wednesday's Gerrans Bay Mackerel Feast and were delighted we did. The food was great and the staff couldn't have been more helpful. There is a grass bank with informal seating which suited us best as we were accompanied by Poppy our...More

We also took our older dog and parked at the bottom of road and walked across the beach which would be better than walking from car park just before portscatho.

Hi, you can park on the top road car park and walk down through a field (a signed public footpath) to the Hidden Hut.
How long does it take to walk the coastal path from St Mawes to the hidden hut?

I've just had a look on Google Maps and a ferry to Place Creek, followed by the walk along the South West Coast Path (via the tip of St Anthony Head) is apparently 7.1 miles or 2 hours, 20 minutes.
