This place has the best food in town. Their service is unmatched and the food will amaze you. We had the six course meal and loved every item on it.

Their ingenious and creative use of ingredients lead to a mix of flavors i have not experienced elsewhere. I love the rum cocktails they serve. Recently i attended an event that featured cocktails made with some of the beers from Flying Dog Brewery here in...More

I have eaten at volt just once and broke the bank. I realize it is not for me. I can get a great meal at one of ten great restaurants in Frederick for a third of the price.

The food was interesting - artistic presentation and not your everyday menu selection. We left hungry :( Highlight of the visit was the unusual restrooms, and as for the meal, all plates were set down at the same time and no plates were removed until...More

Despite some flavor combos that just did not work, the overall experience is worth it for a splurge. The young waitstaff are clearly trained well, and did help guide our menu selections. The prices are high, but not unreasonably so for a restaurant of this...More

My partner and I have been trying to go to Volt for a rather long time, but have never made it up to Frederick. When we finally went to one Friday night, we were not disappointed at all and we had a great time and...More

Visiting a friend in Northern Virginia for the weekend, we decided to look for some restaurants outside of DC and take a nice Sunday drive. We made a reservation well over a month in advance and met another friend for brunch at Volt. I guess...More

I don't think I really understood amuse-bouche until dining at Volt. The first bite was perfect - an amazing combination of flavors, textures, and temperatures - and it literally had me at the edge of my seat in expectation for the rest of the meal,...More

Sorry, but this just didn't do it for me. Wait staff was good, decor was good and food was, well, just okay. The quality of all the ingredients was good on most dishes, but I just couldn't rank this place up there with some of...More

Looked forward to having Bryan's food at this, his flagship restaurant, for a long time, and the reality did not disappoint. Executed now by Chef de Cuisine Scott de Muns, for fans of Top Chef and Top Chef Masters Bryan's intellectually styled food is still...More

You get 21 courses at this table, which wraps around the kitchen. You need to book in advance since it is popular. I believe it holds up to eight around the kitchen windows and a few more 4 person tables in the kitchen area... More

You can find the menu on the website but I believe they do change from time to time, depending on what is in season or available as fresh. It's worth the visit!

Description
VOLT offers guests a menu of modern American cuisine. The focus of our cuisine is based on classic flavor combinations, creating sophisticated dishes that emphasize purity and seasonal flavors that are based on fundamental and innovative cooking techniques. VOLT's relationship with local artisan farmers ensures availability of products to fulfill the philosophy behind the menu, in a refined, historic venue where classic meets modern. By design, the restaurant follows along the original footprint of the mansions first floor parlors. Both the 38 seat main dining room and the bar/lounge open off the foyer. The original mosaic tile in the foyer was the inspiration behind the warm monochromatic color palette that adorns the finishes in VOLT. Private dining can be hosted in the conservatory offering views of the expansive courtyard. The 700 square foot kitchen afforded space to include up to 20 guests.
