What can I say, a pleasant surprise. The staff were extremely service oriented, going the extra mile. The food was amazing and well presented. The setting was beautiful and we felt very safe, they were extremely careful to follow all COVID prevention rules.

Couldn’t be improved. Razor clams, bunyols de bacallà, croquetes de gamba Palamós all amazing. Then a 1kg John Dory cooked to perfection with a plate of potatoes, peppers and onion baked in a seafood broth. Heaven. Exceptional Empordá white wine Masia Carreras delivered to them...that day. Chocolate couldn’t to die for. Quite honestly considering staying an extra week now so we can go back. I found the service charming...quirky, maybe, but lovable - like the food. FantasticMore

Hi, Tanya, Thank you very much for your review on our place. You have been very generous... even if the word 'quirky' surprised me -but maybe I do not realize how quirky we are! Kindest regards, please stay another week and come back!! Oscar Górriz

We came for a dinner, waited for 5 mins on the entry after somebody came to greet us and just quickly said take any table for two and left. During the meal nobody checked on us or asked if we need anything more. There 3...people working and only one woman all the time running around and serving tables. Once we tried to call for a waited but he did everything possible to make sure he doesn’t see us and we just gave up. My friend have ordered steak and it was so dry and chewy.More

Sa Rascassa has been a special part of my life in Begur for 12 years. Visiting Oscar’s amazing restaurant is always a treat and last night was really exceptional. The welcome was warm, setting beautiful and the food was wonderful. The menu has had a...refresh and it is really fabulous - it was hard to choose! I had the artichoke, foie and egg to start and then the Tuna Tartare. It was all so yummy. Oscar also recommended some wonderful wines that we had not had before. I cannot recommend Sa Rascassa highly enough. We are going back next Thursday and are counting down the days! The best meal of our holiday so far. Thank you Oscar and your wonderful team.More

My husband and I looked forward to dining at Sa Rascassa and anticipated a comfortable time of al fresco dining on their charming grounds. We visiting during the record setting heat wave in June 2019 and were reluctant to sit outside for lunch. The staff...quickly and carefully positioned an umbrella over our table, which also received a light breeze. The shade, breeze, and vermouth on the rocks, which they served promptly after we were seated, helped to ensure our comfort. We enjoyed a cool, crisp local DO Emporda wine during our delicious meal. The service was outstanding. We never commented on the sun or heat, but they paid attention to the sun passing overhead, and would stop by to adjust our umbrella to keep us shaded. Delightful al fresco dining experience, even with extreme temperatures! I knew they specialized in seafood, but I opted for a fresh pasta dish. They excel in pasta, as well as in seafood! Top notch setting, service, food, and beverages! Perfect casual, comfortably elegant dining!More
