Coming back home every few months, Candelaria helps me remember how great food is in Spain. Not only are the ingredients they use superlative, but also the technique and the execution. Overall a brilliant place to enjoy local food with a touch of genious.

Lovely house, very good service and a hippy-chic atmosphere. A very professional and down to earth maître d' (owner?). I had the best escalivada in my life. Period. And then a cod "sous vide" with a pickled mussels hummus that was to die for. The...third "tapa" what the "croquetón"... a XXL croqueta... it was very good but the other two were better. Dessert was a goat curd (recuit) slightly sweetened with jam and candied nuts... amazing and showing a great respect for local product. The house white is a velvety and nice Empordà called Anhel... don't forget to have a glass or two.More

I admit, I went to Peratallada to visit a different restaurant with my family. I wanted to taste some very local dishes in this fabulous medieval/roman paradise. But, alas, the restaurant was closed and so we stumbled across this little gem, quite a way up...from the main entrance to the town. The waitress was insanely efficient and so incredibly cordial. She was running crazy, downstairs and upstairs and managed to look after everyone without fuss and with serious professionally. The food is not what one would expect: it is serious food. Very nice indeed, but quite over the top if you are one that prefers more traditional cuisine. Nevertheless, it was certainly quite a positive culinary experience and the restaurant itself is amazingly decorated. Thank you for the hospitality.More

The host was really great and friendly to our family dog. Also the food was incredible, the best we had the entire holiday. I would recommend this place to everyone.

We visited the place as a party of 11 and everyone got special very kind treatment. The food was very tasty and exquisite. The wine card was also very selective and good. Every one had a good time with food in a quality we wasn’t...prepared for. The waitress was efficient and served for the hole restaurant with a smile. It was a great experience.More

We had two fist courses split between three people, three main courses, and two desserts. Most of the food was fun and excellent. Two of the mains were not as good - though not outstanding. Get the Iberian Pork! They have nice touches with a...welcome sangria and after dinner wine. Lively space.More

Really worth a visit! Peratallada is really charming (and it would be good to get there early, so as to be able to walk around and visit the shops). Our dinner was really excellent! The restaurant is also very charming. Not inexpensive, but definitely worth...the price.More

We loved this restaurant! Beautiful, romantic atmosphere with quirky decor. Excellent, creative, sophisticated food and perfect, friendly service. Our favourite restaurant on the Costa Brava so far.

We spent a week on the Costa Brava and this was by far and away our favorite restaurant. The food was absolutely delicious and almost the entire menu was gluten free (my husband and daughter are celiac). The staff are super friendly and knowledgeable. We...loved the quirky and quaint ambiance along with the great music.More

First: the interior is ( for me) great. It has a sort of negligence but it fits. Intimate lighting and super music to go along. Second: very friendly service! Third: we took the degustation menu. Top! The bill, I don't know cause I am still...waiting, but I know it will be ok. If you're around, don't miss this one. And walk the village first, it's amazing too. I promise you, you will have a memorable evening. Oh,we just got our 2nd desert.....More
