Good quality in a family tabern totally renovated in the last months. The food and beverages are simply but very good tasted , specially the croquetas and fish frieds. Friends referred us to this restaurant for lunch and what a great choice. Menu of the day aways had good choices and varied day to day. The restaurant staff always gracious and accommodating. Ate here twice. Both times were during the lunch hour. Arrived around 1:15 each time and there were plenty of tables, but by 1:30 the place was packed. Appears to be a favorite place with local business people, didn't see anyone that appeared to be...a tourist and certainly no one speaking English. Service was excellent and the wait staff very friendly. Their menu is extensive and has many traditional Asturian dishes. Food was well prepared and the portions extremely generous. They have a nice wine list with some very good rioja reservas etc. Prices are very reasonable. When you first enter you are in a rather long and narrow bar. continue back and the next room opens into a large dining area.More

Food here was hearty and fully asturian, great fabada, great cider and good wine. I still can't get the sound of the traditional bagpipes ousuch a brilliant happenstance, try and time it for their fiesta it was brilliant fun.

Lots of varied dishes to suit all tastes; massive tasty steaks, fantastic fabada and child friendly. Get there early as it seems to fill up very quickly. Highly recommended.

I have reviewed this place positively in the past, & have eaten here on at least 6 occasions, but last time I tried to visit the owner was rude (they had no table but he dismissed me as if I were less important than the...dog dirt just outside). I will never go back.More

I've been here several times now & always come away happy & very full. Restaurant area is at the back. I now tend to sit in the bar area to have a drink & eat if I'm in the mood. Guaranteed to have Spanish football...showing if there's a match on. Yesterday had Revuelto de la Casa (the eggs come with serrano ham, green beans, prawns & mushrooms). Thank God I didn't get ambitious & order 2 raciones. Despite being something of a lightweight when it comes to food, I was starving but still couldn't finish this. Once again, simple, hearty, well-cooked food & at 7 euros excellent value. Would also recommend the Chorizo a la Sidra & the Gambas al Ajillo (11 euros), both of which I've had previously. Bottles of Mahou reasonable at 2 euros too. What's not to like?More

Sampled the menu del día earlier today. At 9 euros for 3 courses this is tremendous value. I had seafood soup (very good), fabada (excellent - best I've had in fact - the bloke next door advertises being the no 1 in the world at...fabada so I can only guess at how good his is!), then picadillo with fried egg and chips. Being a complete lightweight I couldn't stomach much of the last dish which alone would have constituted a hearty meal for me. Recommended.More
