We feel so lucky to have found this restaurant/hotel. Thanks Trip Advisor. Jairo is a welcoming and relaxing host and the food is Beautiful. Fresh, flavourful local seafood cooked so well. Great discussion and explanation of dishes. Foie Gras. Was amazing, I have never liked it before. But I loved it. Ate next night at a 3 star restaurant and... More

Jairo's restaurant and hotel is gorgeous and he is a lovely man. Our visit was last year (apologies for the delayed review) but it sticks in my memory as one of the nicest meals and hotel experiences that we have ever had. Jairo cooked us his "special lamb" for my birthday and it was exquisite--as was mushroom appetizer and the... More

Wonderful hospitality from Jairo the owner / chef of this small country hotel and top restaurant. Food was all Asturian with some broader Spanish influences (and time in London). The fresh seafood was outstanding - especially the wild clams. The Asturian ice apple cider (as an alternative to a Pedro Ximez) to round out the meal was amazing. And then... More

We booked this restaurant for a birthday celebration for just myself and my wife, only to find that the owner kept the restaurant open especially when he heard it was a birthday dinner! We were the only ones there and we got personal service from the chef/owner. It was magnificent. He could not have been nicer. He explained all of... More

This is not your ordinary restaurant but one in a class of it's own, run by a chef who is both friendly, speaks good English and isI highly experienced having worked among other well known London restaurants at Trinity in Clapham with Adam Byatt, a favourite restaurant of ours. He knows how to use the freshest of ingredients with a... More

Great food service and atmosphere... Although, I would have preferred the fish a little bit less done... My parents thought it was cooked perfectly. Anyway, worth the visit.

A true example of Asturian fine dining and we were very happy with the result. Jairo is an engaging host, speaks good English, and is very able to cope with food allergies. We ate fish on both nights that we stayed here and were overwhelmed on both occasions. No wonder Jairo gets such consistently high ratings. The bedrooms were spacious,... More

We were greeted warmly by the chef/owner who had taken our last- minute telephone booking and managed to be in several places at once! He very helpfully talked us through the menu in English. There is great care given to the sourcing and cooking of the food so it goes without saying that the ingredients are the best. The food... More

We had lunch here a few days ago on recommendation of our local casona. It's just off the A8 between Playa Del Silencio and Cudillero. The chefs are simply excellent here: Jairo personally recommended what was fresh and what dishes would compliment each other, the restaurant is tastefully designed and the atmosphere is one of simplicity with focus on what...
