One of the best restaurants hiding near downtown Atlanta. It is the perfect place to eat before viewing a show at the Fox. The food is to die for! You can even park there and walk the two blocks to the Fox theater.

This was our 2nd visit to Atlanta and once again we had to go the Mary Mac's and once again we ordered too much food! I guess we can't help ourselves! The fried chicken is a must, okra and fried green tomatoes didn't disappoint. It's an indulgence and what the heck you are on vacation. You can walk off the... More

My mom and I decided to visit this restaurant after hearing many great reviews about it. The atmosphere, service, parking were all good. The food we were able to eat was okay. This review should not discourage anyone from going. It was probably very delicious menu, but it had very limited options for vegetarians.

DISCLAIMER: You have fill out your own dinner order! Food was good. Okay for Southern comfort food due to the menu. Service was great. Mention its your first time and get a free appetizer...which will be a dish called the potlicker. Waiting to be seated was fast. The intimate, political, and historical atmosphere I almost fell out my seat due... More

Great place to get your southern food fix. I'm not really familiar with southern food so we got to try a variety of southern dishes ; fried chicken, catfish, tomato pie, grits, pot licker. and green fried tomatoes . Fun experience, you will need a few days of clean eating after you indulge at Mary Mac's.

If you are looking for a real southern place to eat some juicy chicken this is your spot! On the weekends this place gets a little busy, so be prepared to wait a little bit to be seated, but the wait is well worth it! Please get some fried chicken and mac and cheese and don't forget the Peach Cobbler... More

Visited this cute restaurant to try some good ole southern cooking. We are from the North and really enjoyed REAL sweet tea! It was the best I've ever had. The fried chicken was great and our waiter was the best! Can't wait to return to Atlanta and visit Mary Mac's Tea Room again!

We had the pleasure of dining at Mary Mac's Rea Room today. The food was OUTSTANDING...the absolute best fried chicken, superior fried green tomatoes and wonderful collard greens. Our server (Damian) was an absolute pleasure. He took great care of us and shared some history of Mary Mac's. We will DEFINITELY return to Mary Mac's.

Skip the bad quality food at this once really good Southern institution. Last time my family went the veggies tasted like they were canned. Not even the cornbread was passable. If you want old Southern atmosphere, go to The Colonnade, or walk around the corner to The Georgian Terrace, order drinks on the veranda and watch the world go by... More

Now this is a unique place to eat in Atlanta. Food is always good, service outstanding and sometimes you get a perk of somebody giving you a shoulder massage. No kidding. Many a famous person has eaten here as the walls inside will attest. Country style food served after you order from pencil & pad. Very comfortable & laid back... More
