Seems to be better every time we come. We get a bottle of red wine, lentils appetizer, vegetable plate and lamb plate. Great service. Never disappointed.

We wanted to eat at the famous Desta restaurant but there was a long wait, so we opted for this quaint little Ethiopian place right across the street. The decor was simple but cute. The service was great - we had a show to catch and so we told our server and she brought the food out real quick. The... More

Highly recommended. We have never been disappointed. We get a bottle of red wine, lentil or beef sambuka appetizer, and combine a lamb entrée with a mixed vegetable entrée. Service is friendly and attentive.

I don't know whether the service is slow because they cook each dish super fresh when ordered, but the wait, especially when you are ravenous is killing! The wait staff themselves are wonderful. We actually came here because Desta was closed for lunch last Sunday. So everyone who came to Desta just crossed the street and went into Bahel. I... More

This would have been a satisfactory experience -- food was decent -- but for the slow and generally inattentive service. Not sure what the cause was, and maybe this is their normal style, but it resulted in a frustrating and disappointing visit. Fortunately, there are other Ethiopian restaurants in the area where the service is clearly more customer-friendly

My habesha friends recommended this as a spicier alternative to Desta. I showed up there with my family yesterday around 12:30 for lunch. There was no open sign but the door was unlocked so we sent our daughter to go ask if they were serving lunch and she thought the lady inside told her they were open but that the... More

We have eaten here many times and always order vegitarian and lamb combination plates with a bottle of red wine. Wait staff is attentive and treat us as if we were special. Highly recommended!

My wife and I have eaten here many times and it is always a pleasurable experience. Friendly wait staff and spicy. Be prepared to eat with your fingers as one wraps bread around various vegetable and meat dishes. We always order a combination vegetable plate and a meat plate. Also, we enjoy a bottle of red wine. Both American and... More

Bahel Ethiopian Restaurant is a small place in a strip mall in Druid Hills. We went for lunch; had the breakfast combo ($12.99 for two people) thinking it would be fast. The food was very tasty, even if a bit too spicy for or taste. There was plenty for the two of us. The service was poor. Had to wait... More

Went here on a whim after a less than pleasant experience at Desta across the street. The food was good and the service was extremely pleasant. We will be back.
