Sadly this, Benahavis's 1st real restaurant has closed. Been going here for 35 years, same owners but on last trip was very sad to see it had closed and was for sale. Their food was always excellent with very nice relaxed service but it seems that people prefers more 'flash' at places like los abanicos but the la smarten family... More

The best roast leg of lamb and delicious crunchy crackling pork in Benahavis! We are so upset to see "Se Vende" in the window and upstairs terrace abandoned (had beautiful views to mountains.)

La Sarten has been a firm family favourite over the years. Unfortunately it is currently closed with "For Sale" signs in the Windows.

We got here just as it opened for lunch and had the patio all to ourselves. Great food and service with a lovely view of the whitewashed buildings on along the main street.

Every time we go we always make a beeline for La Sarten. The pork fillet is particularly good but all other dishes hit the spot also. Sadly when we went at Xmas it was closed and there was a sale board on it. Let's hope this is not the end of the story. .........

The Aspargus and Scrabbled egg starter was a first time for us both, and we live the Vale of Evesham! I have the Rabit to follow and my other half had the partridge. The food was excellent and a sensible price with 1/2 bottle of red just what we needed. I would visit again but expect it to be very... More

This small town lies a few miles inland from the Costa del Sol and could be in another world. It is well known for good restaurants and this one is really excellent. It's family-run and offers high quality food at reasonable prices in a smart yet rustic environment, with an open terrace area for fine-weather dining. I can particularly recommend... More

The food as always is excellent , little things make differences , from the pate as a restaurant , ''on the house'' to the help with a perfect wine to match

This is a lovely little restaurant that is entered via the main street, rather than the popular alleyway of restaurants in Benahavis. This means there's much more chance of getting a table on the terrace, with great views down over the buzz of the alleyway of restaurants, and over the town. The food and service were both excellent, and we... More
