I really do enjoy coming here for the most part. The sandwiches are pretty good and its a cool little basement dive bar. I came in here over the weekend and was raving to my friend about this spot and how good it was. However, once we got there we had one of the rudest waitresses I have ever had.... More

Went here twice on my recent visit to Richmond and the museum district. The sandwiches are huge and the meat is sliced right before your eyes. Prices are good for what you get as well. That includes both the drinks and food. Can't wait to get back

This basement sandwich joint is cheap, but hardly worth the trip... unless you're dedicated to keeping to a very tight budget. Most fast food offers a more enjoyable dining experience.

My sister has lived 4 doors down for 25 years. Whenever I'm in town my old friends gather here .Great food , cold beer, whats not to like! Both the hot and cold sandwiches are great. Try the Beast ,if your really hungry. Takes me back to the good ole days.

This is the perfect place to go on a cold afternoon or a rainy day for a good sandwich. It is Richmond's own version of "Cheers", down steps into a cozy place with board games on the shelf. Good pastrami and swiss hot sandwiches and cold beer with TV sports on. Staff is friendly and attentive without hovering. Little heavy... More

The outside looks like a Cheers or a similar urban setting. Neon sign over steps down to a low ceiling edifice. In the fan, close to the art museum. Peeling paint, dirty bathrooms. Small grille with some sort of home made exhaust system that doesn't function well - based on the smell that permeated the area. Menu consisting of various... More

I have been going here for years. For years I passed by this little basement restaurant and wondered what it was. One day, I tried it and I tell everyone who goes to Richmond that it is a must. Yeah, its small and dark; and yeah, they can only make a few hot sandwiches at a time, but this is... More

Little neighborhood bar/sandwich place. In the basement of a brown stone in the Museum District. Parking along Belmont Ave. and around the corner. Follow the steps down to a piece of Richmond history out of the 1940s and 1950s. No updated menu, no updated interior (except for TVs and wifi), no updated grill. Hot sandwiches (and some cold) with meat... More

A friend introduced me to Chiocca's (I still can't pronounce it. (-; ) and we've been going there for lunch about once a month. The food is great and plentiful. They have amazing sandwiches and the service is pretty good.
