If you want to go first class with a dining experience then you can't go wrong if you go to Lemaire. Wait staff is excellent along with the food and the ambiance. Not inexpensive but worth the money.

The food is always above average as well is the service. The steaks are tender and cooked as requested, The soft shells were cleaned completely and were not overly fried with cornmeal. you can always count on good food.

We have dined at LaMaire several times in the past five or so years, for both dinner and brunch, but we have no plans to return. The last evening we were there, our service was nothing short of horrendous. The server never checked on us....More

At least if you know they have worked at the restaurant for a while. I overheard our's before we ordered telling another couple that she had worked at Lemaire for over 3 years, so I knew I could rely on her recommendations for food and...More

My family of four went for my husband's birthday. The fried oyster appetizer was delicious! Thirty minutes after we ate the oysters and the heirloom tomatoes (which had a very sour, unappealing dressing), our entrees finally arrived. The filet and flank steak were ok, certainly...More

Our family tries to get a reservation each year six months in advance of Christmas Holidays so we can enjoy the festivites. However, Lemaire is their signature restaurant on-site upstairs that is perfect for a breakfast, lunch or dinner. It is wonderful to look out...More

I have to recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting Richmond. When I went to college at VCU in Richmond, VA, I worked in the hotel and for many years Lemaire's has been the place to go. They have touched the opulence of the Jefferson Hotel...More

Great locally sourced food and good charcuterie. Don't be scared off by the formality - it is very comfortable inside and the service is wonderful. The crowd can be a bit staid, so bring your seersucker if it's hot out and you'll fit right in....More

Great service, good food, great Creme Brulee. Went for lunch on an employee birthday when I worked downtown, always enjoyable.

Lemaire is a lovely restaurant that is suitable for special occasions. It is a bit pricey....hence my rating of four stars.

We were in business casual attire. Some were in suits, but we felt very comfortable in dress pants and dress shirt, but no jacket or tie. Hope that helps!
