My wife and I had an amazing lunch here, with sophisticated food at surprisingly inexpensive prices (we're from the New York area). We started with a glass of Cava ($8) and a cocktail called "Death and the Maiden" ($14) which was terrific. Two house salads ($9 each) had interesting greens and dressing: with beets, almonds, and bleu cheese in an... More

We made a reservation for lunch on a bright spring day. Our tables were near the glass front window that gives you a wide view of lawns and fountains. Much of the food is locally sourced and prepared to order. Besides being delicious, we found the choices to be reasonably priced for such a high caliber of ambiance, service and... More

Amuse on the 3rd floor of the VMFA has some great views. But it is small and at busy times over lunch you may not get a seat or one you want without a reservation. This is a clean upscale cuisine as you'd expect. We had the fried oyster appetizer which came on a bed of Greek yogurt with a... More

After an absence of over a year and a half we were able to stop by Amuse once again for a late lunch. And the food is better than ever, beautifully presented and with wonderful combinations of ingredients. My husband got the market catch, today a crispy-skinned red snapper served on a bed of steamed baby book Chou in a... More

We had a board dinner here and it was fantastic. My crab cakes were delicious and everyone at my table felt the steaks and fish was expertly done-- no one felt like they were at a group dinner ( which we were). Perfect service and definitely a chef's touch.

Consistently innovative menu that changes quarterly, or in thematically keeping with the origins and topics of major exhibits. Brunch is especially delicious. In good weather, the outside terrace offers a lovely al fresco dining experience.

This is a delightful place for members and their guests. The out-of-town membership is quite reasonable. The service is prompt and attentive and the food is quite good. It is a great place to relax after touring the galleries.

This is a beautiful restaurant complementing a first-rate museum. Menus change daily, but presentation is great, and the food delicious. The chef changes the menu according to a current exhibit. The crab cakes are always on the menu and set the standard...they're as good as Maryland crab cakes and I am picky. The soups and entrees--roasted chicken falling off the... More

After a disappointment with service I emailed the manager who worked to make everything right. Stopped by to try lunch again and every aspect was perfect. The food, service and attention to detail were wonderful!
